I don't really mind rap that much. Its just when you can't hear half of the song because they're swearing so much.
Oh and guy no. 2, this is like the perfect rap parody where they swear for at least half the song. It's on the Flight of the Conchords CD. Hilarious CD, I got it and have listened to all the songs. Hilarious.

There are some rappers I like. P. Diddy, Kanye West, and The Dream are some I like.

Deadric Mudcrab, that was hilarious" too many mutha uckas, ukin' with my shi, there going to wake up in a smoothie" actually the words, they say mutha uckers instead of, well you know. That is hilarious, singing that all day long.Daedricmudcrab wrote:I don't really mind rap that much. Its just when you can't hear half of the song because they're swearing so much.

I generally prefer the harder music (i.e. metal, deathcore, screamo, whatever you want to call it) over any other type of music. I seem to draw energy from it and love to burst out in a random headbang. But in my playlist there's also alot of punk and even some Dropkick Murphys for a jolt of celtic punk.
And of course, what is a playlist without those Red Hot Chili Peppers? I've fallen asleep to "Snow (Hey Oh)" soooo many times (in a good way).

Do some research. Radiohead are British. And I also recall you saying you'd never actually listened to them. The King wrote:Anything rap, except for Usher, he has a light kind of rap. Country, except for Carrie Underwood, who I like. Jazz, techno and metal, there are a few metal bands that I like though, ex: Disturbed, Slipnot( sp.) and some three days grace. I hate Avenged Sevenfold. Another think, I hate Canadian music, i.e. Radiohead, yes tourist, I'm prepared for the rant and of course, your famous calls of yank and deaf" insert animal here".
Also there is no Canadian 'music', it's as varied as any other Western country's musical output. You're essentially saying that Neil Young is the same as Celine Dion, which is like saying Barack Obama is the same as elderflower cordial.

How you someone start a topic like this, and not expect this to happen.Guy No. 2 wrote:Also, could everyone just calm down a bit with all these rants and stuff. I really like this thread.
It is sad when something as simple as "Annoying Songs" turns into rants of hatred.
It was Annoying Songs, not what Music Genre do you Hate. It is sad when people can not read and understand a simple topic.
Although, how a topic about annoying songs can be fun, is beyond me???

[ Well, it began when numerous people confused a 'wasn't that Crazy Frog just the worst!'-thread with a 'boy! being narrow-minded must rock!'-thread (where a particular genre came in for some entirely random stick). Where there is injustice in the world, The Tourist shall brandish the twin blades of Righteousness & er.. Even More Righteousness-ness, and plunge headlong into the fray..Jeff wrote:It was Annoying Songs, not what Music Genre do you Hate. It is sad when people can not read and understand a simple topic.
The Spice Girls may have hand a handful of tunes that weren't rubbish, but If You Wanna Be My Lover really wasn't one of them.. that chorus possibly defines what it means to be an annoying song. And the thing is, once you've heard it (a thousand times during the whole Girl Power thing) you can't really 'un-hear' it.
( random Spice Girls trivia: Thom Yorke once dedicated a version of Paranoid Android to Ginger Spice. )

True, some of the Spice Girls songs weren't too bad, there was one I liked, but clearly not too much or I would have remembered what it was called.
Another annoying song was that Ricky Martin one where everyone danced in the water spraying out of the fire hydrant... I also forget what it was called.
My mind protects me from such things.

Elton John songs, they are so..... dull, the notes come at you at the blinding speed of two per minute. Just not fast enough.

John Meyer song called "say'
Possibly the most repetitive lyrics in the world, I won't insult humanity by giving you the link to it though.

I'm pretty sure no body's favorite color is blueThe Dog Whisperer wrote:That song that has the chorus that goes "I'm blue daba-blah blah".
I think it was by Blue and was called Blue.
It just ruined a perfectly good colour.
Anything sang/said by Chris Crocker. It makes my ears bleed

I second that Chris Crocker thing.
And that song Umberella got really annoying a while back. But it seems to have died off. Although Biffy Clyro done a good cover of it. Here

That fish head song has to be one of the MOST ANNOYING series of words coupled with music, it doesn't even deserve to have the title "song"

Hey, Magic - in case you've completely missed the last page and a half, this thread isn't about 'oh man, [insert band/genre you don't like] sucks!'. Like I said earlier; respect other forms of blahblah... etc.
Umbrella is a thoroughly understandable candidate for an annoying track. It was at No1 in the UK for 10 weeks or something, but I had the fortune to completely avoid it. So when it went away, I heard it, and I liked it. That's a good pop song.
As for Barbie Girl; I can't recall if the creators - or performers at least - attempted to make out that that track was actually an accute commentary on girls body-image. So; subversive feminism? Or novelty pop nightmare...
