Heya folks, I'm doing the Painting quest and have just followed the walkthrough and got the painting, but being a Rogue I don't have the spell ability to use Recall, and as such have wandered around until I'm not stuck.
I haven't been underwater yet as I don't like it too much because I'm not a spellcaster really (though have water-walking magic items and stuff).
So - there must be a way to do it, is it underwater? You teleport around to the proper part, but the last teleport room has no teleport in it (the one with the torture table etc) so you can't go back round to the start.
I'm really stuck and getting quite annoyed! This is why I always do a custom class spellcaster warrior type!
Anyway to get out of Wayrest Castle without Recall?

yeah nice one. 
To anyone who stumbles on this thread with the same problem, the solution is to open the secret door, in the room on the same corridor as the LAST teleport room you end up in, the one with the torture implements. Its a red brick corridor with those oversized steps. Go round this and you'll come to a teleport room, go through that, wander round some more and you'll soon come to another teleport room. Go through that and you're right by the main section of the castle again. It sounds more complicated than it is I assure you!
