Post by horavetha »

Is there a way to slow another computers internet speed down? My brother opens a million windows and skypes and I can't play call of duty because the connection sucks so bad. Is there anyway I can make his computers internet speed slow to a crawl? Please help me my next option is punching him in the face! Thanks in advance guys!

If he is using a cable - unplug it.

If you're both connecting through a router you might be able to configure the QoS, but that's quite technical.
Boom.

There's also software like NetLimiter, but it's only free for 30 days

I would suggest simply getting online first.

If that doesn't work, then definitely punch him in the face.

Barring a punch in the face (seriously, you are abusing your signature), I would say try and work out an internet usage schedule with your brother.

That and play a good single-player game like Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim instead of Call of Duty.

Generally, the net is like the common electric wiring: it's all for everyone. You may, depending, adjust your router, like in http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282 ... -household, but it may be somewhat tough.

The nice and neat way would be to agree about things with your brother.
