I got great use out of a double cast whirlwind cloak. Fighting a sabre cat in the vail I flung it off a cliff to which it died and glitched where only its rear limbs were above the ground.

Re: Unintentional giggles
I know npcs say this line all the time, but hearing Onmund say "Is that your best, huh?" while fighting Rieklings burst a few giggles out of me. He just looked so goofy among the sea of blue creatures. In an earlier Riekling battle, he said: "I'll have your head!" and electrocuted one of the little guys so hard his teeny body flew up in the air and did a couple spins before landing in the snow. Classic.

I was running along a road I don't remember where; came up on a orc that was fighting two sabertooth lions, helped him out. I was then talking to him and he wanted to sell me some skooma; when I said it was illegal he dropped over dead.

Re: Unintentional giggles
Better yet, when it's their freshly severed head that's doing the taunting. Or begging for mercy. Either way.
NPC's in my game today seem to have issues with falling down today.
During the final battle with Miraak, we were both flinging shock spells at each other, but Miraak would not come forward. I was standing there just waiting for him to come closer and what does he do? He walks right off of the summit. I had a good chuckle that was compounded by the realization that Bethesda did indeed record lines for Miraak when he falls off.
Miraak: Taunting the Player. Did you think you could get rid of me that easily?
Mauin: Chuckling with obvious amusement at silly AI. Small pause before replying. ... You did that to yourself.
Neloth apparently also decided to jump onto this trend. I was in Tel Mithryn asking what he had for sale when he randomly decided to take a tumble off the little ramp you land on when using the levitation thingy. He then proceeded to spent a minute or two repeatedly going up and down the thing.
I think he lost it.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The severed head completing its last sentence WHILE it's flying through the air (ignoring the fact that it should be instantly incapable of speech because there's no airflow from the lungs). That's my biggest giggle of all, especially when pushed firmly into Monty Python style surreal comedy territory with a last sentence of...
"It's" <kershunk!> "only a scratch!"
I keep expecting John Cleese to magically appear behind me wearing no trousers, sitting behind a desk, and say the immortal line, "And now for something completely different."
A related continuity goof that always makes me giggle is looting the body, including the helmet, but AFTER I do so the severed head is STILL wearing it!
These crack me up every time... which makes me eager, every time I start a new game, to get the Beheading perk ASAP.
Oh, and for final proof that Skyrim IS Monty Python's Flying Circus in disguise. I found the Imperial Ministry of Silly Walks doing a spot of in-the-field practice... Screenshot

Maulin? Huh. Now there's a name I certainly hadn't considered. Though I think it might be more suitable for my cat.Eltee wrote:I laughed out loud at that, Maulin!
Seeing it in-game was something else entirely. I don't think it would have been possible not to laugh at the falling-related silliness that was going on.
And I've got another moment of unintentional giggles... More like unintentional fits of silent laughter.
I was in Apocrypha earlier while I was listening to music on my iPod (this was probably a bad combination from the start). I was just wandering around for no good reason when my iPod suddenly arrived on Devo's "Whip It." With the thought of all those tentacles snapping out at you in Apocrypha... I just lost it. I am never going to be able to get that out of my mind now.
Oh, I have a dirty mind... I need brain soap. And a lot of it.

Re: Unintentional giggles
My Altmer, Sylmirie, decided she wanted to do some sunbathing on her deck at Lakeview Manor. Lydia was already chilling at one of the tables, so Sylmirie had an ale with her. Then she hears: "Mama!" only to see Sofie standing right next to her. The kids never seem to go on the porch...but Sofie followed Sylmirie from seat to seat. Even after Lydia headed back downstairs, Sofie stayed planted by her mother's side, chitchatting and calling her name.
For those of you who have kids its this: "Mama, mama, mama"...."Yes, dear?"..."Mama, mama, mama!"..."Yes?"...."Mama, mama, mama!"..."Speak child!"
It mirrored real life in that way. Poor Sylmirie just wanted some alone time to tan her yellow skin and instead she got an earful of "Mama!" every 3 seconds. So she gave up and headed back inside the house...guess who followed.
PS: Mauin, heeelarious! That song totally matches the feel of Apocrypha. Gotta feel bad for poor 'ole Hermaeus Mora, deprived of anything fun in that God-forsaken place.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The Forsworn are strange. I was sneaking my way through one cave while training pickpocket. After just managing to pickpocket the Briarheart out of a Forsworn Briarheart, another Forsworn looter walks up to me and says, "Somebody had to take that eventually, right?"
I'm not actually sure what triggered that comment (it could have been from me taking a few things that were lying around on the tables), but the timing was great.
Of course, I killed the Forsworn Looter, but she gave me a good laugh.
I also had a bandit earlier who, well, died laughing.
I was battling a Bandit Thug outside of Bilegulch Mine when he started a line. It might have been the "Haha, I think you're bleeding!" line, but I don't know for certain. He just finished the laughing part. The rest got cut off because I killed him. It basically looked/sounded like he killed himself by laughing.

Re: Unintentional giggles
Okay, this made me burst out laughing today when I started a new profile.
I had just been helped up by Ralof, and we were running toward the tower. One of the mini meteorites slammed directly into the body of a dead Imperial, tossing him like a ragdoll through the air behind us. Just as he landed in the doorway of the tower, Ralof closed the door on him. As Ralof talked to Ulfric, the Imperial's body was, meanwhile, flipping the [&@%!] out.

It pleases me in a giggly, dorky kind of way that Calcelmo and Aicantar are both dressed in the same dark blue hooded robes. It makes me imagine them in a scene like that Venture Brothers episode where Dr. Venture takes Dean out shopping for his first "speed suit" (jump suit):
Calcelmo: In a speed robe you say to the world, 'Look out! I know what I'm wearing for the rest of my life!'
Taarie: That's a long-sleeved bath robe. Check the sleepwear department in the back.
Aicantar: My big surprise is a bath robe?
Calcelmo: Speed robe! I don't want to hear you ever say 'bath robe,' Aicantar, not ever! Speed robe!

Bought a bunch of dwarven arrows in Markarth. Gets a letter from Calcemo. "I hear you bought a dwarven arrow. I haven't even the slightest clue how it may have gotten there." Sure Calcemo. A dwarven arrow, in a dwarven city. I wonder.

Calcelmo sure hears of your spending habits fast, for a guy who clearly doesn't get out much. You could buy Dwarven whatever from Moth and all be in the same building.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The very last College of Winterhold quest (The Eye of Magnus) bugged out on me. After the final battle was over, I was given the objective "Talk to Tolfdir" but he wasn't where he was supposed to be (in the Hall of Elements at the college). Fortunately, the quest marker was pointing to him so I quickly located him on the map. He was walking West along the road on the other side of the mountains South of Winterhold. I fast-travelled to the nearest place to him and sprinted to catch him up. He immediately said something about losing his Alembic (which is usually found in the Hall of Countenance at the college). I LOD'ed because it *seemed* like he was out LOOKING for it, and my first thought was... "You're not even warm, mate. In fact you're at Absolute Zero and ALL quantum activity in your brain has obviously ceased!"

After just joining the Dawnguard I leave the fellow I met along the way to his crossbow training and look around the fort for a bit. As I was leaving i noticed the single bucket on the hay bails he was shooting at and remembered fondly learning to shoot in Oblivion.... well I watched him for 10 mins or so, and as far as I know, he still hasnt hit it. Poor guy is hopeless

I was walking up a hill somehwere near Riften, when I see a small object rolling down at 50 MPH. I thought it was a rabbit at first, so I ran after it. Not looking where I was going, I fell over a cliff and landed a little before the object, I was dead of course.
The object was some meat, I was laughing while me reload took me all the way back into some forest.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The "Bunnies Slaughtered" counter always makes me giggle (mainly in amazement at the lack of moral thought that went into it). That's it Bethesda, just give people a REASON to spend hundreds of hours in Skyrim killing harmless virtual Rabbits JUST so someone can strut around boasting they got into the Guinness Book of World Records twice, for "highest utterly pointless score in a game", and for "most times referred to a psychiatrist for insatiable bunny violence fixation".
I have to say in ALL haste that I'M not like that. My Bunnies Slaughtered counter is 1 and THAT was an accident. I felt sorry and wanted to give the poor wee harmless furry thing a decent burial, but I apparently don't know how to HOLD a Shovel, never mind use one, and neither does anyone ELSE in Skyrim for that matter.
