i looked up ''Lost'' i think he helped Create it and directed the Pilot.

he also made another show i dont like. and i didnt like the Star Trek film too much.

so im not too excited about him being the Star Wars director.

He created Felicity as well. Squeee!

How could I forget the Twilight Zone? That show is second to Star Trek IMO.

I'm not sure Felicity qualifies as sci-fi but then again I never watched it. ;)

Doc Who is a good show when you are 10 and Tom Baker is the doctor (actually it's a great show)

so it's a pretty narrow window of opportunity and unless you have a tardis to go find your ten year old self and visit the 70's/80's together, it's gone

May get bashed for this, but that's how I always felt. I've seen many Doc Who episodes, from many eras and it always felt JRPG to me - (The only thing missing was flying gold dildo cars) In that the "lore" and setting had no real defined parts or direction and it all seemed too tongue in cheek (basically the British Flash Gordon). That's great (I guess, in small doses at least), but I can think of a dozen BBC shows I can watch that take cheeky to a whole other level compared to the Doc. Granted they don't meld Sci Fi with the humour, but most of the Who I've seen was light on the Sci and heavy on the Fi.

Obviously I think Lovecraft is the best sci-fi ever, but he never really made any franchises.
So to choose another one; wan't you take a ride on Heavy Metal.
