What every Xbox 360 owner needs to know!

SAVE YOURSELF FROM MY FATE!

I made two small mistakes, and now some jerk is playing Call of Duty (ugh) using MY STOLEN MONEY. If I had been told either one of these pieces of advice, I could get out of this mess:

1) if your Xbox still works, immediately write down your Console ID! When it breaks (or if it's ever stolen) you'll need this! It is literally impossible to get if your console won't power on. My Xbox is broken, and I can't get my console ID, so Microsoft won't help me. I've talked to CSRs, two managers, and emailed with a tech support guy. Won't touch the issue whatsoever. Guy with a broken Xbox has someone make purchases from his account using an Xbox? Sorry, absolutely can't do a thing to help.

2) if Microsoft has your credit card information, immediately remove the card from your Xbox Live account! Visa says that because I had originally given them my cc info, it's the same to them as pre-authorizing ANY charges made on the card. Won't issue a charge-back. I'm livid.

You can imagine my frustration. Naturally I don't see myself paying for another Xbox. HEED MY WORDS! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!
