Yes really. you have to wait a day or two for soul gems...to appear in inventory. Not sure if they actually put them out on display for you to steal again. Maybe the NPCs are not that stupid after all....

The official Elder Scrolls site has a number of possible reasons for crashes.
Some drivers for peripheral devices are listed...you may want to see if you have any. Fixes are easy though, just end any conflicting process.

I found it. The item that was adding "Fortify Skill" to spellmaking was, of all things, The Skeleton Key. It adds "Fortify Security", which then apparently adds access to all skills in spellmaking Fortify spells.

I just use a pencil or small screwdriver jammed between the keys...why bother buying anything? The stuff on your desk works just as well.

Most of the Alchemist vendors sell bloodgrass, very cheap, too. Any mage guild will probably have one on duty. Like all shops, they are only open during the day, though. Not sure if that helps if you are a vampire. You may be able to steal it off of a counter in one of the main Alchemy shops, though.

At level 1 or 2, though, the quest is not that bad, and the reward is good for the level. I used it pretty much routinely through the early teen levels, I think. The fish are probably levelled, but the ring is not.

I have searched several online spell databases and have found no reference to them, yet in forum posts and the Oblivion Wiki, people are making recommendations regarding them. I know they exist as spells utilized by items, but they do not appear as sold spells. Perhaps an obscure vendor?
