I had a similar issue on 360 with Marcurio. In the end, killing him and replacing him was the only way I could fix it. Nah, I want the npc's to function more or less normally, but not notice the pc. I mean, like I alluded to I can jack up the stealth skill and compliment that with all the perks, enchantments, etc., but I wondered if there was a way via console that I haven't thought of.
