each class certainly does not have a "designated" role

Templar do have an advantage at healing, sorcerer at magic, but you re not locked into them.

the nightblade can also be a good healer for example

Re: Will you buy The Elder Scrolls: Online?

The impressions here are interesting, and strangely contradictory.

I personally like the ES feeling of the game, you do not have to follow the main quest, you can just go out and explore, meet NPC and get unrelated quest by speaking to them.
Yes, you cannot kill NPC. You cannot "save and reload ...

Re: Press and Player Experiences During the Beta

I played several betas, an dyes there are still some bugs left. Login problem last beta were simply related to the fact it was a stress test.
One annoying little bug, i got stuck with some merchant forcing me to loggoff and login my character. So this at least only happen when you re taking time to ...

Re: tamiriel foundry sticky post mentioneing UESP as "crap"

well,

the idea is this, the wikia (not uesp) might be wahtever.
When a new player goe sto tamiriel foundry, and wonder about getting info about lore,
the "official post" is
wiki is crap
go to the imperial library.

Maybe they only meant (wikia is bad, but it reads as both TES wiki and UESP wiki ...

Maybe you re right, maybe he only targeted the TES wiki,

Wiki a
I assumed the guy tried to type "wikis" "a" being next to "s"

but I realized TES wiki has "wikia" in the site name.

Anyway, UESP is recognized for the"lore" so definitively not a good comment.

tamiriel foundry sticky post mentioneing UESP as "crap"

http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/eso-lore-faq-and-misconceptions/

I cite:
Never consult the wikia on lore matters. It is rubbish, as proven here "TES wiki or UESP wiki, which one is more reliable lore-wise?"

I found it a bit harsh ;-) I was going to report it on the forum itself, but maybe ...

Re: debate on allowing any race to play in any alliance

I like your comment.

I think the relative minority of people who will do it for now is acceptable, as long as they do not open it later.
Only pre-order. Most of pre-order are ES fan. Most of whom like the race separation.
With the little impact Race choice has on play mechanics, people who choose ...

Do you have a web site?

I plan to play AD, a poor little Bosmer, lost in the world. Most likely an adept of the hand.

Re: debate on allowing any race to play in any alliance

Well, If they keep it limited to pre-order only, then yes I d say I like it.
I am just afraid to see some races domintate simply because they can be picked in any alliance. But if it is limited to the pre-orders then yeah why not.
After all, people who pre-order are TES fan mainly I guess.

Re: Will you buy The Elder Scrolls: Online?

well, lucky to be in US someties,

Here in Italy, I could nto find a way to get the physical one. And 99 euro is quite a bit more than 99 dollars.
Yet even amazon.it would not sell it .

In the end standard digital for me, and who know maybe an upgrade to imperial later.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread

I agree with the mention that some guild quest line could be improved. You get to the top a bit too fast in my opinion too.

The thieve guild quest for example. You kind of quickly become a nightblade, and kill the previous guild master (OK you re the dragon born quite exceptional). But then you ...

Re: debate on allowing any race to play in any alliance

I think it's a good idea.

This means I can go questing with a friend of mine who's main is in a different alliance, and I can explore all of Tamriel currently available without having to make an alt in each one. (Although I probably will, anyway)

I think it is not the case. You still cannot go ...

debate on allowing any race to play in any alliance

Hello,

The explorer pack announcement means that you could potentially play any race in any alliance.

Even if it sounds good at first I am wondering if this is a good idea.

I would like to see if you can just pick any race or if there will be some "tweaks to it"
Like if you are an orc on the ...

If you read between the lines, you do not even need to pre-order

If you pre-order you ge tthe explorer pack for free
If you do not pre-order you will still be able to buy the explorer pack

The standard edition with explorer pack is at the price the game was anounced.

Market wise, I am sure they ...

How many years will the game span?

When you read the game description you kind of see two different aspects.

A threat to the world, undeads coming ect...

3 faction fighting for the Cyrodil throne
>>this is the multi player part.

Re: Will you buy The Elder Scrolls: Online?

Well, I'll buy it for sure. Bethesda has been delighting us with the ES series, they deserve to be paid for their work. And "not" trying it simply does not sound like a viable option.
I do not expect to keep the subscription long. Depends on friends.

After all I bought Morrowind when it came to the ...
