Depends on the Role Play back story I got going in my head. Then there is my play style and getting the most out of the starting stat points. They all have points in things I never use but I make the best of it. I tend to stick with these.

Re: Animal/Hunting mod?
You might give Return to Helgen a look. It's not particularly about hunting but it does add in a Hunters Guild in Helgen that you can join and they give you missions to go hunt animals and bring back the meat and pelts.

Re: lead the way to any current quest target! (script reques
I wonder how they got this to work with Vilja. I have not used the Vilja mod in a long while but I remember letting her take the lead. So, I went looking and found this in the description on the Nexus page.
Lead the way. Vilja doesn't always have to follow your lead. YOU can also go adventuring ...

Re: Maramal Stuck in Bee and Barb
Are you using the Live Another Life mod? If so you need to visit Helgen and start the main quest. Until you do Maramal can't do his rant about the Dragons coming back due to all the sinners in the Bee and Barb. That or have him hold a wedding for you. That seems to put him back on track.

I know nothing about mods. Will this by something that is available to anyone to 'add-on' to their pc version, that will add the bar/village that contains npcs of the people that submit a character in this thread?
That indeed is the goal.
Add in my latest character if you will.

Re: Dual-wielding waraxes or maces?
I was a big fan of dual wielding weapons until I stopped to think about it one day. I tended to use a sword in the right hand and a dagger of some kind in the left. But I honestly couldn't think of a time I actually used the dagger unless I was disarmed and lost the sword some how.

I could give you a huge list of mods but I think I will spare you that and just stick to my favorites. This is just the high lights on my list. I have probably two or three times as many I won't mention right now. If your looking for a specific type of mod just ask and I will let you know what my ...

Is it just Skyrim this happens to?
Have you tried updating your drivers or had you done so some time before this started happening?
You might have a dieing sound card or speakers if it isn't just Skyrim this is happening to.

Actually there is a way to avoid the double cursor glitch. Just hit tab to bring up the four way menu, the one with level up, magic, etc on it. Then alt tab out. When your ready to go back to the game click it in your tool bar then alt tab quickly back through what ever your running until you get ...

One mod that will help you with your idea is Alternate Start - Live Another Life. There are several starts in that mod that would place you in different factions and start in different places. Some are set to certain races and others are not.

Re: Roleplay help?
If you were on a PC I could give you all sorts of ideas that are tied to mods. Vanilla game wise its just harder, in my opinion, to role play. If your going to be roaming around and carrying everything with you things get easier. If you want a home base with some safe storage your going to have to ...

Re: Help with missing textures
It very well can be those home mods. All house mods are made using textures from add on texture packs or by taking textures from the game. Some times when they use textures from the game it breaks something and messes with where ever the modder took those textures from.

Re: Very strange lag.
Your always going to be better off with a better single GPU as opposed to a SLI set up using lesser cards. That being said a GTX 780 3GB VRAM will do you very well. The only cards that are better are the GTX 780 Ti version, Titan, or a Titan Black edition. The rest of your system sounds like its ...

Re: Very strange lag.
This can probably be attributed to two things, lighting/shadows and/or the amount of textures and meshes your video card is trying to process while indoors. The low amount of video ram on your card is not helping either.

I decided to look into this issue myself. I am running a i5-3570k, 32GB ram, and a GTX 680 2GB video ram.

Re: Help with total freezes
Your old video card and its low amount of video ram is the problem in this case. It just cant handle the reflections on the water nor the mists that float at ground level in those areas. You need at least 1GB of video ram to run Skyrim reliably. More would be better.

Actually, power leveling Smithing on a low level character is a bad idea. Simply because you can level your character up with just smithing but none of your combat skills have increased at all. You might be level 5 or 10 now but your still trying to fight enemies that are your level with combat ...

Re: lv 11 - no house, no follower, no money
You might consider rounding up a 100 gold and going to the Bannered Mare and picking a fight with Uthgerd the Unbroken. It's a fist fight and fairly easy to win. When you do you can use her as a follower on top of the 100 gold you win from her as well. As a bonus you can take her house key from here ...

It can be done, it will just take you time to learn the tricks of a mage. What works and what does not. All I can say is save often and don't get discouraged at all the deaths you are going to rack up in the learning process.

I voted clean as well. The other three options all have a draw back or two. If you use any of those evil options in a populated area you are the target of every one in town. Both vampire options still have the need to feed and the problem of sunlight tossed in.
Not worth the hassle to me.

I too can never seem to get into a mage and always end up with a stealthy in your face melee fighter. I can't seem to make a pure mage work for me. However, I decided to compromise a little and blend a mage into my normal play style. In essence I am playing a Spell Sword. Light armor, one handed ...

Ever wanted your charater to talk? You can do it now.
I have always been disappointed that my characters in Skyrim never say anything. Recorded dialog for the player character was the one thing I thought Bioware got right with Dragon Age 2. Evidently some one agreed with me and made a go of it for Skyrim. Its not anything like DA2's voiced dialog but ...
