Re: PAX West!

This is kinda One Tamriel related (it's something I've already submitted feedback on):

When you accept Cadwell's quests you are still ported to the new alliance's Tier 1 city, rather than their Starter Island. Now that the Tutorial once again drops you on the Starter Island, Cadwell's quests need ...

Re: PAX West!

Ah, that's a shame.
Indeed. It's a bit odd that you get a checklist for other alliances but not your own. It would help people who are new to the game follow the story, and it would help people who are only interested in the primary quests to get it done quickly. Ah well, I guess that's one thread ...

Re: PAX West!

Hey, are you still there with the devs? I thought of another question :)

Cadwell's Silver and Gold are a great way of measuring your progress through the other alliances. Now that One Tamriel has you travelling anywhere at any level, would you consider adding a "Cadwell's Bronze" checklist that ...

Re: Orsinium Announced!

I must say, I'm very curious about how these features are going to work:
A colossal new zone available to characters of all levels
Reasonably well, I think.

Special harvest nodes that scale to the most advanced material type your character can use for crafting[/list
Not as well as they would ...

Re: Imperial City PTS Testing

Is there any official date for this PTS update? The only thing I've found is this, from the Announcements section of the the Official site, dated 15.07.2015:
Later this month, the full Imperial City DLC game pack will be available for testing on the ESOTU PTS, for free. We encourage everyone who ...

Re: Imperial City PTS Testing

Yeah sure, as long as some of the existing officers have the PTS and are able to add people. We wouldn't be able to change any permissions though if either Baratron or Legoless don't have the PTS.

Imperial City PTS Testing

Is anyone planning on downloading the PTS to test out Imperial City? If so, we could set up a special UESP PTS Guild for anyone who wants to test together, as there is only one PTS server (it's not split into NA and EU). Since Imperial City is located in Cyrodiil, we could even do testing cross ...

Re: On Thieving

Nice summary! Have you noticed a difference in guard behaviour between Disreputable and Notorious? I know the popup help states there is a difference, but for me, they don't seem to do anything more while Notorious, and still only try to arrest you if you get too close. Vendors also don't talk to ...

Re: ESO Xbox One and PS4 Launch Date is...

I guess it depends on what you consider "pay to win" to include. At the moment, I'm inclined to agree with ZOS that time-shortcuts are not P2W, which is all they are offering in addition to cosmetics right now. If they start selling stuff that affects gameplay difficulty in the store though (eg ...

Re: Announcing the Official UESP ESO Guild

Hello all,

I have just taken over as Guildmaster of the North American Guild since DaveH is busy with another project .

I've updated the UESP Guild wiki page with lots of content, including the new NA Guild Heraldry. I'm sorry, European Guild folks - although we understand the reasons behind ...

The EU one currently has 35, and I see igee you're already in it, welcome!

Out of interest, what's the current state of heraldry on the NA server? I remember Jeancey asking Dave for the permissions to do something with it back along, and I don't know what has or has not resulted from that.

Re: Announcing the Official UESP ESO Guild

I haven't exactly been able to be too active with the UESP Guild, so take my feedback for what it is, but I quite like the heraldry you've proposed, particular the open book motif.

I had to temporarily cancel my sub because I couldn't justify paying it when I wasn't even able to find time to play ...

Re: Announcing the Official UESP ESO Guild

I was wondering whether anyone has any ideas and suggestions for our guilds' heraldry. I think we should try and duplicate the same heraldry on both the NA and EU servers so our guilds have a unified, worldwide ...

Re: Preorder page is up!

I'm not sure if it's clear that the upgrade you can purchase after launch includes the Explorer's Pack. As far as I can tell it's only the Imperial Edition you can purchase later.
It is indeed only the Imperial Edition you can buy after launch:

Is it possible to get the Explorer’s Pack if I don ...

The upgrade plan is just for the Imperial Edition, not the Explorer Pack. Explorer Pack is pre-order only.

Just curious if there are any beta forums at ESO website or anything for all the players under the NDA to freely discuss what went well and what did not. I know I have been on beta forums for others games and it was a great way to get out info on the game.
Looks like the official beta forums are ...

Re: Will you buy The Elder Scrolls: Online?

We have to buy the DLC? It's not an obligatory handout for paying to play?

With many MMOs, most 'DLC' is indeed included with the subscription, and is rolled out as a patch (like the Skyrim updates, but with substantially more content than those had). The "DLC-sized content every 4-6 weeks" will ...

Re: A question about Factions and PVP

It's always worth a try. There's likely to be some that will believe you, and some others who just won't care and will attack anyway, but it would be interesting to see how it turns out. You may be able to find a cross-faction group of "civilian" players somewhere once the game is out and find out ...

Re: A question about Factions and PVP

That's ok, but is it possible to avoid the PVP war, without getting involved, while in Cyrodiil?
I would say that it's highly likely, at some point or other, that you will run into a member of another faction who will try to kill you. But you should be able to keep away from the larger battles if ...

It would be just as much of a shame if they released them as DLC's/ expansion packs kind of thing...
Why would it be a shame if they did that? I think there's quite a few MMOs that add more things like that later, Guild Halls specifically spring to mind. That gives them more time before to focus ...

From what I understand, no direct comparison has been made (please correct me if I'm wrong). However, there are some details that I've been using as a basis.

Consider the size of Cyrodiil from Oblivion ; I'm assuming that ESO's Cyrodiil will be a similar size, hopefully a bit bigger. ESO's Cyrodiil ...

Re: What do you want the death penalty in TES:O to be?

I just found this on ESO Support: [1]

What is the cost of dying in the game?
When your character dies in The Elder Scrolls Online, you have two options for resurrection. If you possess a soul gem and decide to use it, you can resurrect your character in place. If you don't have a soul gem or ...
