Holding the chubby little demon down with her small frame Alida screamed for someone to stick a sack over it.

I wanted to give Greenlantern a chance to respond :/ but yeah, reading back it was probably me who should have responded, my bad :(

Alida, net in hand, advanced slowly towards the fat little demon not replying to it's question. The worried expression of the demon's face seemed out of a character ...

Alida didn't reply, instead she tried to circle round the demon whilst readying her net so that she and Cato could catch her from both sides.

Alida ran after the tubby little demon, which required seemingly little effort on her behalf.

"Shall we net the kid then?" asked Alida timidly despite feeling confident that the fat demon kid wouldn't be an awful lot of trouble.

"Well... this wasn't what I expected." Before moving on she looked to Cato, wondering if he had any guess to what was going on. She had no idea what experience he had with demons.

"Thank you" said Alida, already making off in the direction the guards had pointed them in.

Alida shrugged her shoulders

Alida noticed the gestures that Cato made, but couldn't associate what sign meant what. "Good idea, surely one of their own would have stood out to them" she replied, wandering over in the guards direction.

"Makes sense" Alida answered broadening her smile.

Alida followed Cato. The cooking steam caught her eye and she suddenly felt hungry, although she didn't imagine she'd get a chance to eat anytime soon, after all there was of course far more important things at hand.

Alida bowed slightly "Thank you heptarch , I apologize if the misunderstanding caused you any offence". She always felt awkward talking to nobility.

"We're looking for a friend of ours, he's wearing a guard's uniform and..." Alida tried to think of something distinctive about him but failed to "... has black hair. We think he may have mistaken you for someone else." She struggled to meet the giants eyes, partially because of his status but ...

Alida led the way towards the duo. Alida felt as if she had taken the lead too often today, it was out of character and it made her uncomfortable; she'd much rather go back to being the unnoticed girl lurking around, but it would appear to be too late for that. Alida cursed herself for not voicing her earlier suspicions "Thank you". Not knowing how to proceed, she turned to Cato hoping that maybe he would know what to do.

"Do you know anything about that big red haired man over there?" she asked indicating the direction with her big gentle green eyes.

Alida looked up at the merchant whose stool they were stood at "Excuse me?" she asked politely.

Alida led Cato to a stool and began pretending to look at its wares. "Can you see the giant man with the red hair over there?" she whispered, nodding in his direction as she did so "that was who Invictus was following".

Alida decided the only real hope would be to retrace her steps to where she separated from Invictus and from there go in the direction she last saw him go in. She knew that realistically they were unlikely to find him, but if he got into trouble with the giant they might at least hear word of it ...

She broadened her smile and shook her head before attempting to find their way to where she last saw Invictus. She wondered where he kept all his paper

For the first time since she began looking for Imhotep she regained her trademark smile. "Thank you. Last time I saw him we were following an odd looking red-haired giant of an angel." She paused before leading on to see if he understood.

As Alida kept watch she began to lose herself in thought and before long she was reminded of Invictus and the pursuit of the giant. She began to panic, after all this demoness had been trouble enough whereas Invictus was alone and up against a much bigger threat. She indiscreetly made her way back ...

It occurred to Alida that she ought to make better use of herself and keep watch. She distanced herself from the group, trying to blend in with nearby stools, listening and watching incase the group attracted any unwanted attention.
