Re: M'aiq the Liar, who he is?

I've always loved the theory that M'aiq is an avatar of Sheogorath on the mortal world, keeping an eye on things and spreading some minor insanity.

Build Plan Help - Druid

So one thing I've been playing a lot of in other games are more druid like characters, generally a mix of shapeshifting abilities and primal magic. I'm kinda wanting to bring such a character into Skryim on my 360, a very limited platform, I know. What skills do you think would go into a more D&D ...

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread

I tried being a stealth archer for like the 80th time and it was just as uninteresting as the other 79 times. How do you guys make this playstyle fun?

I have a lot of patience, which helps me. I'm more than willing to sit there and wait who knows how long to study enemy paths and when I can pick ...

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread

The thought crossed my mind while I was switching out Ahtar's skillset from Heavy Armor to Light in the Creation Kit today: Why would an executioner need to wear heavy armor? It's not like the prisoner is going to be much of a fight...

Considering the Elder Scrolls Player Character Prisoner ...

Wait, if Bethesda checks us for lore checks, why is this the UNofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, and not the OFFICIAL Elder Scrolls Pages?

Yup, only you. Not a single other soul liked it.

Re: Help Choosing Factions

There's absolutely nothing wrong with joining disagreeing factions. Just think, when you become both Archmage and Archmagister, you know own a monopoly on magic in all of Vvardenfel. That'll stick it to everyone.

Plus it's also fun going into factions as a race that wouldn't normally make sense ...

I met with Morrowind's resident M'aiq just now. First time I've met the "original" one. It was fun just hanging out with the silly khajiit.

Re: Non-nostalgia players: What do you think about Morrowind

Having just finished it, I can definitely say for a fact now that Morrowind has the most satisfying story of the three I've completed, with a very satisfying (and a little heart-racing) ending battle. That really gives it a lot of props. Oblivion's "final battle," wasn't really anything at all, I ...

Re: What did you do on Morrowind today?

Well, not really today, but in the past couple of days I've started up an Altmer Mage with the plans of beating it, hopefully sometime in May, because I've beaten both Oblivion and Skyrim in May. He's done some good questing, got his way to Evoker in the Mage's Guild before stopping the taking of ...

Khajiit is a really fun choice, especially with their innate night eye. Makes playing a thief character so much easier.

Maybe there will be.

That would be a cool crafting motif, one for each class, to really deliver the class's flavor, no matter the armor weight.

Re: Impressions of Morrowind announcement

It's set in Vvardenfel, like the game Morrowind. And thus it's called Morrowind. It should REALLY be called Vvardenfel. Especially since we've been tromping about a good deal of the rest of Morrowind. Does it not count now?

Still, really curious about the new class.

Re: Skyrim officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch!

Even if it's the latest version, I highly doubt there will be modding allowed in it. Nintendo's still a bit on the slow side when it comes to DLC and things of the like, mods probably won't even be considered.

Re: Did anyone else find Alduin easy?

Honestly, I feel lIke it was rushed to completion. We see this evident in other storylines (Civil War, Companions), and I believe even the MQ was nowhere near where TES' magnificent storytellers wanted it to be.

This is why I'm perfectly happy with them taking as much time with VI as they need ...

Re: Favorite race to play as?

Argonians look really good in hoods, though naturally if they have any form of horns, those won't show no matter your head gear (circlets being the exception of course.) That's generally why I settle with the feathers, at least those not showing make some sense.

Re: The Civil War Poll for the upcoming rerelease of Skyrim

I've done all three options, siding with the Stormcloaks, with the Imperials and just telling them to shut up and sit down in the main questline, and I can't really say which one I favor. Tends to be a very character-based thing.

Though oddly enough, my Stormcloak siding characters has included a ...

Re: Technologies and Magics developed the last 200 years.

I think another reason magic seems to have stagnated, and perhaps even regressed, is that the Mage's Guild has been disbanded. While it was a mess with internal politics and what-not, it was still a public source of knowledge and magic. It was magic for the people. Who's our main source of magical ...

Re: Your specialisation (combat, magic, stealth) combos?

My current character (though that might change, with me playing ESO again and having a blast with my Khajiit,) is an Argonian Healer, based a bit on the old Healing class. Restoration and Alteration as the main spells, Illusion for the Courage spells, and my lone source of personal DPS being a mace ...
