Windhelm. I love the architecture, the climate, and the atmosphere. It feels like a fortress turned city, which I love.
Second is a tie between Riverwood and Whiterun. They did a good thing, showing those two cities first. Riverwood feels like a place I could live forever comfortably, and Whiterun ...

Re: Train wreck of a Midnight Release
I had a fairly negative experience with GameStop as well. I preordered the Collector's Edition the day it was announced. The manager of the store told me that it wasn't in the system yet, but if I put $25 down on it, he'd switch it over as soon as it was.

Re: PC rig upgrades and tips
From what I've seen in terms of benchmarking - tomshardware is a great place for this - there's very little penalty for using AMD cards in games 'optimized' for nVidia. Hell, I'm maxing BF3 on a Radeon 6850, which is definitely not one of their high end cards. Every game I own I've been able to max ...

I can't prove I'm right about God either. I just don't care. I'm going to do as much as I can to benefit other people irrespective of race, or if it gets this exciting, species, as I can, while I'm alive. The rest is book keeping.

I picked up a trumpet when I was 9, and I've been playing ever since, so...12 years for that. I've been playing guitar for just about 3 years now, rhythm only, because I can't improvise a melody to save my soul, and I'm looking at getting an electronic drumset eventually (tm).

Re: GOD!!! The finite topic for an infinite being
Jumping back in: any scientific discovery has the potential to be invalidated or expanded upon by future data, however that science is still greatly helpful in the present term. Kepler's Laws of Planetary Motion are bad science, but helpful science. They work, but with a small degree of imperfection ...

A very serious answer to a question probably not meant to be taken so seriously:
"What is a human being, then?" ... "A seed." "A … seed?" "An acorn that is unafraid to destroy itself in growing into a tree."

I typically max the difficulty, and I've had no problems, but you really do have to plan ahead. I saw a really good guide that changed how I view the game. Don't have primary skills that level you up quickly (acrobatics, athletics). You probably don't need the extra speed and jumping they give you ...

If you use religion specifically so that you can function through the existential problem, and have an otherwise rational worldview...I see absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Re: Bandits use tear gass to steal 6000 Copies of Modern War
It's funny. I used to respect Call of Duty before Modern Warfare. Now it's all re-hashed map-packs and weapon-packs under the guise of a new game.
I loved the first Modern Warfare. It still has a warm spot in my heart.
What it did to gaming, though...man. What a shame. Even Ace Combat is Modern ...

Every single practitioner of every faith-based religion puts faith in their God of choice. Not a single person has any rational explanation for any part of their religion.

I've played around with pantheism in the past, and I do still get that spiritual tingle whenever I'm made aware just how awe inspiring the universe is. I'm not sure I can call that God, though, so I don't. This either makes me a closet pantheist or a strange atheist.

Yes, but no. We have literally no other sources than the four Testaments. Nothing. Four people does not make a scientific consensus.

During one of the Fighter's Guild quests, I went to a village and cleared out a whole bunch of buildings of goblins. I got out, and I saw NPCs floating off through hills and away.

My two biggest fears are loss, and failure. I can't stand the thought of losing anything constant in my life, be it limb, technology, or a person. I can't stand failure because I was put into a situation where my only choice was to fail, for nearly 7 years of my life. Just thinking about failing ...
