How's it going so far? I'm looking for an invite to the North American guild. @Liminal in game. Thanks!

Re: What is the latest version number for PC?
According to a couple folks on the Steam forums, the Steam version is the same as the lastest GOTY box, 1.6.1820.

No confirmation yet that the Anthology discs install the same version, though it seems likely.

PC: Volume / Sound / Audio Trouble
With Skyrim's volume sliders maxed in-game, I still have to bump up my computer's overall volume (via the Windows Sound Mixer in the system tray) by approximately 40% to get comfortable game sound. Other games I play on this PC don't have this problem. It's pretty inconvenient, since I can't balance ...

Re: Using a Controller or Mouse and Keyboard on PC
Thanks isometry. I just tested a PS3 controller via motioninjoy, which emulates the 360 controller. As you described, it works out of the box and the game automatically configures everything.
I may try your Pinnacle Profiler suggestion, since I'd also like to have the keyboard and controller ...

Re: Gamepad / Controller in Skyrim for PC
I got a PS3 Dualshock 3 controller working perfectly via motioninjoy. You just follow the setup instructions and select "Xbox 360 Controller Emulator" mode in the the motioninjoy settings. Skyrim treats it like a 360 Controller and configures everything automatically, including button mapping. The ...

Re: Using a Controller or Mouse and Keyboard on PC
Are you guys all using Xbox 360 controllers? Did you have to change anything in the settings or did it all work out of the box?
I'm trying to get a PS2 controller and a Saitek P2500 to work. (http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=26127)

Gamepad / Controller in Skyrim for PC
Has anyone had luck getting a gamepad to work in Skyrim?
I've heard an Xbox 360 controller with the wireless receiver works automatically, as will an official wired 360 controller. I've also read that the motioninjoy program works with a PS3 Dualshock3/SixAxis controller in "Xbox 360 Controller ...

Intelligence and Willpower - Which Does What?
According to the wiki, Willpower affects your ability to "cast spells of any College;" whereas Intelligence only determines your amount of magicka, despite being the "Governing Attribute" of several colleges. Here and elsewhere in the wiki, the notion is reiterated that "Governing Attribute" only ...

Re: Starting Spells
Thanks for the tips, everyone.
I decided not to worry about starting spells in my build. Instead, I hopped the stilt strider to Balmora, joined the mages guild, and ported around to a couple other towns to buy whatever spells I could afford from the guild trainers there. (I was greatly assisted by ...

Starting Spells
In some custom character builds I've seen, players put certain magic skills in the Major category so they get the starting spells right away. Is this necessary? Is it hard to find these spells otherwise?

Custom Class and Optimized Leveling
I'd like to make an effective custom class, while ensuring that I get the full modifiers at each level up. But where do I allocate my skills?
