Re: Post a picture of your desktop!

Yeah, well, it's my family's entertainment system. One of the joys of being a husband/father is you get to decide what to do with your home. In this case it's for my games as well as watching movies on-line. I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone about the joys of watching movies/tv while laying on ...

Re: Post a picture of your desktop!

I think I finally figured out how to post a picture of my desktop but UESP thinks I'm a spambot.

Can a mod unlock my ability to post images?

Re: Interesting Builds Thread

Most of these seem like nice builds although I'm not sure how well they suit the adj. of 'interesting'. :)

One of my characters:

Bosmer (although any race is fine).
Stamina is the only increase.
Lockpicking, Speech, Pickpocket, Sneak are the only skills.

This character hangs around in cities ...

Request for Artifacts

Anybody here know how to make some Artifacts with multiple enchantments?

I would love a mod that added special loot to the named dragons that are scattered in the barrows around Skyrim. Whether just laying at the bottom of the bowl after the dragon has been revived or on the corpse after you kill ...

Re: List of ideas for mods

Okay, after playing for a couple of months and thinking about it both seriously and way out in left field, here are some ideas I have had.

Weathertop
There is a nice lonely peak right next to Swindler's Den that I think would be great to put a ruined foundation on, have a campsite with a choping ...

Re: What makes Morrowind so great?

First things first. I've played about 80 hours of Morrowind, maybe 100 now on Skyrim and 600 or 700 on Oblivion. So take that for what it's worth.

However, trying to be objective lets tale a look at some of the things that people rave or complain about.

Main quest.
Morrowind: You are the hero. No ...

Re: Post your computer specs / gaming rig!

I'm thinking about a new power supply and putting two AMD 6950's in Crossfire.

I do hope you are planning on water-cooling those GPU's.

Now I am.

What are the advantages for water-cooling? Besides the obvious I mean? Right now I have some big honking fans but I am running two Radeon ...

Re: PC Controller

Yes and no

I am having trouble mapping the buttons properly. For instance, on oblivion the left thumbstick works but not the right one. The left trigger, which should be block is instead opening the menu.

But it is recognizing the controller even if things are not what they shoud be. But no dice ...

Re: PC Controller

In the settings under gameplay the 360 controller box is ticked, and I have a green light on the controller, so I know it's on, but it doesn't do anything.

Motionjoy says my controller is working as well. I can use it to test my controller but still no dice.

Do I need to change something in the ...

PC Controller

I need some help if anybody knows

I just bought a gaming controller for my PC. Just a genaric brand. My computer recognizes it and I have callibrated it as well, but I can't get it to work for skyrim.

If anyone could give me some pointers or step by step instructions I would be much obliged.

Re: Things you love about Skyrim

I played for the first couple of months on the x-box but now that my computer is up and running properly I have moved on to the PC version. My system maxes out Skyrim and now i am enjoying just walking from place to place. Destruction is great, dual-wielding is fun and I really enjoy the perks as I ...

To be honest, I haven't thought about the overclocking yet. I understand the theory, but like I said, I'm not much of a computer guy. The reason I need some help with this stuff is that I live in China. Even though I know people who speak good english, when it comes to speciality things, i.e ...

Not sure yet about the power source. I'm just trying to research one thing at a time and the PSU as well as cooling still need to be looked at. Re: Building my First Computer. Need Advice

Thanks for the reply Scozzar. Just been looking at newegg. So another quick question about the dual video cards. Is it better in your opinion to go with one high end card or two mid range? for example, a Geforce 590 GTX is about the same as two GeForce 570 GTX.

Building my First Computer. Need Advice

Ok, so for most of my life, I've been a console guy. But lately, as the number of games I want to play is decreasing, I have decided to move to gaming on a pc as I can use it for other things as well. First of all, I plan to make it my home entertainment system. I want to hook it up to my Sony ...

Re: Multiplayer in Skyrim?

Something I think would be kind of interesting for a simple co-op would be the ability to play as a summon. So I could be playing my mage character and my friend stops by on Saturday afternoon.

"Hey, how you doing? Just playing some Skyrim. Want to Join?"
Sure, why not? I've got a few hours."

2 ...

Re: The Mage Guild

Something I always thought would great for the mages guild (or Synod / College of whispers) would be quests for high level magic. Similar to "Fingers of the Mountain" from Oblivion. I'm sure many will probably disagree, but I want it to be difficult to get Master level spells. I want the 'Master ...

That's a nice example; Unless the dungeons are as cramped as Oblivion's were.
You won't be able to fling a paralyze spell past the assassin if you can't see past him. :P
Which requires friendly fire being off, and some form of auto-lock to lock onto targets.
Neither of which I'd really want in ...

I think all these ideas are great. What if they combined all of them?
