The WOTW adsorb effect only works on touch range, so you can keep running away and attack with spells / arrows.
If you wanna go melee, run up, hit it once and retreat before it can attempt to adsorb from you (it'll make some sorta gurgling noise when it tries that). Rinse and repeat.

Re: New to TES games, enjoying experience but have questions
First off with scaling quests rewards is it worth while to wait till higher levels to do/complete them? My char has done quite a bit and I feel like I might have rushed things a bit because at lvl 5-9 the rewards are nice for my lvl but don't seem too great compared to what I could have gotten if I ...

Three Sigil Stones from Kvatch Gate
Is this supposed to be a bug or a special feature for the first Oblivion Gate?
I found that when I reached the Kvatch Gate's Sigil Stone, I can repeatedly activate it to get more Sigil Stones before I get booted back to Tamriel. There is enough time to get 2 more sigil stones if you keep activating ...

I dumped my first two chars due to leveling probs. Another thing I wasn’t aware of until well into this char is the issue with the monsters leveling as well! That’s just cheating on the monster’s side!! I expected to find stronger monsters as I went out into the wilds further etc, or as the hordes ...

Ha! Another one of those "Efficent-Leveling" guys! :P
I can tell cos I level normally and I only maxed out my Strength/Agility/Speed/Endurance on my favourite char in the mid-30s while the rest are at mid-levels. I maxed out my Armour Major Skill first (and celebrated by throwing away my 15+ extra ...

I can't help you on the quest but at your level, unless you've finished the main quest, you should be able to raid Oblivion Gates for Transcendant Sigil Stones which can enchant for 30% Chameleon (Quicksave before grabbing the Sigil Stone, grab and see what you got, and Quickload if you don't get ...

Skingrad's house is definitely the most extravagrant if you can afford it, plus you have so much display cases to fill up with whatever you want.

I am not 100% confident of my knowledge, but I give it a shot:
Resist Magicka reduces the effects of hostile magic damage or effects against your character. This does not affect Fire/Frost/Shock magic attacks nor Poison applied through a weapon attack. What is reduced is direct magic damage, such ...

Re: Umbra answer and question
The answer is that you can kill Umbra at first level.
But it is much more fun to fight her at high levels ...
"BANG" "clatter" ARGH! She knocked my Daedric Dagger out of my hand with her SHIELD! *runs around looking for the dagger on the floor while trying to dodge Umbra's swings*
