All right, this has been going for quite a while so I think it's time to give someone else a go. My riddle was referring to the book Hanin's Wake .

No, not Miraak!
Another hint: it has nothing to do with the game Skyrim.

Re: Lore Trivia!
Nope, nothing to do with Castle Volkihar.
Now that I look at it, I think I may have put my foot in my mouth with that last line. I had the distinct impression, along with apparently several other people, that the "lord" in question was a Nord, but looking more thoroughly I can't find any primary ...

That is a very well reasoned answer but it is not it.
Err well, when I said it was easy I meant in the sense that it is very specific. Everything is quite literal

Hey guys. I joined 7 years ago, posted a little bit and then left. I've been lurking now and then, though. It's nice to be back.
Edit: actually should have posted in Welcomes & Goodbyes. I feel pretty silly.

In the interest of reviving the thread, is it OK if I sidle in here and post an easy one? ._.
Salts and bones, leaves of green,
Many thus in death convene-
Blood and fire and something sweet,
Our mighty Northern lord to meet.

Re: Post Your Character!
I wrote up an extremely elaborate backstory for my current character, then promptly lost the file somewhere and forgot nearly all of it. All I remember is that he is from Blacklight, was framed for something, fled, had to fall in with some criminals to conceal his identity and was sent to prison. I ...

Re: Easy-to-implement things you wish Skyrim had
I love those stealth ideas. I was pretty underwhelmed by what they ended up doing with it. I miss darts, too.
I've got a few "minor" things having to do with items:
-No (or at least fewer) levelled items! Exploring dungeons becomes so, so boring when you know there's no chance of finding anything ...

I'm on a macbook pro as well, and it would sure be nice if Skyrim was released for it, but my guess is that it won't be for a while.

Re: Why do Skyrim's vampires suck?
I noticed that too. I don't mind the fact that you can't regenerate health in daytime and all that stuff; honestly I was surprised not to be receiving constant sun damage. What did annoy me a bit is that being a vampire only seems to be worth it for stealthy types...I liked the system they had going ...

Oh yeah, I remembered another thing! The fact that, in the end, choosing between heavy and light armour comes down to aesthetic preference, because there are perks for both that make their weight zero. Again...

Re: Daily Skyrim Debate: Fire/Ice/Storm
Except against enemies with resistance to it, I find myself reverting to frost, particularly Ice Spike. There's nothing more satisfying than getting a crotch shot with a sharp chunk of ice. It also slows down Giants to the point where they're moving at a snail's pace, making them far easier to ...

"Virtually every Skyrim mission is this: go here, openly kill a really non challenging opponent, get pulled up by the town guards, tell them to go f*** themselves because you are a thane, they apologise, return to sanctuary for crappy gold reward. "

Re: Things you hate about skyrim
Im really tired of everyone saying morrowind was soooo great.
It was repetitive and difficult to get into.
Skyrim has its problems but so far I prefer this over morrowind.
They removed stuff for a smoother gaming experience!?
They must die!!
They took away stuff that most of the time goes ...

Does anyone else miss non-quest-specific artifacts...?
I think Skyrim is great and I love most of their changes, but there are a few things that I felt were really done right in Morrowind and then for some reason never appeared in later games...this isn't really a "Morrowind is better" rant, it's an entirely different game, but I'm just pointing it out ...

So, I don't have Skyrim yet, but might as well post my plan:
Name - Zadig-Shulabi Selkatanat
Race - Dunmer
Gender - Male
Stealth/combat focus.
I got carried away when writing the back story and sort of wrote a modest novel, so I apologise if TL;DR. The first part of it basically rehashes the ...
