Sit and watch how things play out with us. Not as Shara, but as Derp. Shara is still in the middle of doing something you posted earlier. Days have passed in real time, but only a couple minutes have passed in RP time ;)

Indeed.

Damsel in distress Andreo is subconsciously praying that his princess in shining armour will come to her senses, in the mean-time.

Spoiler:
You guys make me feel so bad for not being able to post that much. Sorry for holding everyone up. :(

Also, I wish she could save you too, Eltee, but seems Llythanda's mind is not her own!
Llythanda turned toward Andreo. With her eyes glancing through the smokey haze and a few loose strands of ebony hair freeing from her braid, she likely looked a formidable opponent and might have even inspired some terror in Andreo, were he at all able to see her. But rather than progress toward him she shook her head, firmly. "I've wasted too much time," she said, her tone soft but businesslike. "We should get you to safety, and I am eager to hear how my contract has changed."

Alandier grimaced at Llythanda's suggestion. He gritted his teeth and said, "It takes only a moment to deal with traitorous scum such as him." Alandier pointed his staff at Andreo and fired a powerful blast past the Dunmer, toward the unconscious fighter.

You get out of anything. It's not that you get anything. You can get out of the mess that Andreo is in, but I'd be the one who says how it goes, and you wouldn't be able to save Llythanda.

Hehe. Okay. I had a feeling it would go that way.
I feel very small and ashamed of my actions, and I'd like to apologise. I was presumptuous, god-moddy, and downright thoughtless. I got carried away in the moment, and my new responsibilities assume that I'm mature enough to not do stuff like this.
I'm sorry. If I were RPing Alandier or DMing, I can imagine how [&@%!] I'd be at me.

Just as Alandier fired his staff, a jolt made him miss completely, sending a fireball flying into the blazing trees. Everybody, both fighters and necromancers, felt the ground shake violently beneath their feet. Most of those on their feet lost their balance and fell on their butts. The necromancers' horses panicked, rearing and neighing, and Simande and Andaril struggled to maintain control of them.

Directly in the center of the depression that the fighters had used as a hiding spot lay Andreo. And directly below him, the ground crumbled in the earthquake, leaving an opening into a cavern below that was only just large enough for Andreo's nearly unconscious body. The Imperial slid into the darkness below, and then, as the rumbling continued, the large flat stone stirred from where it had been wedged into the ground and smashed down, sealing the opening and crushing Andreo's broadsword.

Andreo came to a rest on something soft and squishy. The abrupt change in position made Andreo just barely regain his consciousness, and he remembered that Gradilesti had given him two healing potions, which were miraculously still hanging from his belt next to his dagger. He was surrounded by darkness.

As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, Andreo could make out glowing fungi on the floor and walls of a small cavern.

"Does anyone...have a potion...or something?" Brutus groaned as he stumbled along his path. He didn't really know where he was going, and he had lost his sword.

Vitellus stood up slowly, wondering if the shaking would resume. When it didn't, he hurried next to Brutus and offered him his healing potion.

His kill snatched from him by Nirn itself, Alandier decided it was time to retreat, regroup, whatever. "Come, my love, we must go now. It is no longer safe," he said to Llythanda as he began making his way toward Simande and Andaril.

Brutus swallowed the potion awkwardly, trying not to touch his lips with the bottle. Some of it spilled, but he managed to ingest most of it, and the pain started subsiding slowly.

"Thanks," he muttered.

Simande and Andaril finally calmed down their horses, and they quickly rode past the mine, going west. "Time to run, Valeronicia!" Simande called out behind her. The necromancers could see Alandier doing his best to hike down the hill towards them.

Simande stretched out a hand in Alandier's direction, and a burst of pink and amber light surrounded him. The light settled on his skin, and for a moment, the fighters could see a shimmering effect off of which the sunlight gleamed, as if his skin were polished gold. Andaril, following Simande's cue, cast a quick healing spell on Alandier, followed by the same spell he had cast so frequently on Valeronicia to make her walk faster. Alandier felt far healthier and nimbler than before.

Valeronicia, though, had scampered off before the tremor, seeking to save herself (and her books), and was standing a bit up the road back towards the Imperial City, waiting for them.

Spoiler:
That was one hell of a Deandra ex machina. :)

Ahem... Thanks. And sorry again.
Andreo slowly opened his eyes, just about as disoriented as he had ever been. He vaguely wondered if that Altmer he has been fighting had dragged him off to a cave to reanimate his corpse...

He sluggishly did a quick self-inventory. He had a pulse, he was alive.... A d he seemed to be in the middle of an underground cavern.

His heart twinged. What had happened to the others? Why did he leave them, in the middle of a battle? Was Llythanda still... "Argh!" He grunted.

He pushed such thoughts out of his mind, and took a deep breath.

He had an eye-waveringly painful burn on his side, where the fireball had ricocheted off... He had shrugged it off before... Pure adrenalin, he supposed.

Plus, there was another pain in his whole body. An ache that wouldn't recede. A shock spell. Maybe that was what had put him out.

He wiped the drying froth from his beard. That's what must have happened, yep.

His in story continued. Broken sword, his dagger, two health potions.

Andreo wearily brought one of the potions to his lips, and took a drink.

Llythanda had been knocked over by the quake. She was becoming rather acquainted with the ground lately, it seemed. The Dunmer had felt a momentary rise of panic, stirred by memories of the rare, soft trembling beneath Red Mountain. But just as quickly as they came she blinked them away, turning her head after Alandier.

Unable to do much else, and unable to hear the part of her that was screaming, caged and hidden in the same elusive fog that seemed to hide all memories of Alandier, the Dunmer got to her feet and started after him, driven only by the alien desire to stay by his side.

Simande pulled Alandier's horse to her side and called out, "Hurry! There's a dark elf following you!"

Andaril rode back to Valeronicia. When he was right beside her, he said, "Come, we're going to Skingrad. Stay with us if you don't want to get killed by these fighters."

=======================================================

Andreo immediately felt refreshed, and his electrocuted nerves stopped signaling constant pain.

The Imperial noticed that the cavern looked faintly brighter straight ahead.
