The Cave - Tunnel
"Aureal, stand down and make your post at the end of the tunnel." Nandrnil said to the Daedra enforcing his will upon the creature. He waited with his staff raised and ready to use.

Niralie - Tunnel
As Niralie made her way back through the tunnel, she saw the summoner ahead of her, an older Altmer. That made sense, considering the skill needed to summon and control a Dremora, but she was still mildly surprised to see another of her kind way out here.
Her thoughts about the summoner's identity, however, were far overshadowed when she spotted the staff he held ready. She froze in her tracks when she noticed it - was he intending to attack her anyway, or was it just a precaution? "I-I'm unarmed," she stammered, gesturing toward her empty scabbard. She also removed her other hand from her head - still wet with her own blood - and held them both up limply in a gesture of surrender that couldn't possibly be mistaken for an attempt to cast any spells. Hopefully he'd put the staff down once he ascertained that she wasn't a threat. She prayed to Auriel that he didn't mean to kill her where she stood.

Coastal Cave - Tunnel
Nandrnil nodded and lowered his staff, he decided that Niralie was not a threat, she was quite fetching in his eyes as far as intruders were concerned. Looking at her, he decided she was genuine and hadn't done anything to make herself a threat.
"My apologies, rarely in these lands have I met anyone interested in anything beyond the contents of my coinpurse. I will not harm you, the staff is precautionary. What is your name?" Nandrnil asked lowering the staff to the ground and backing away from it.

Aided by a night-eye spell, Eolwyn watched as two weary looking, panic-stricken travellers stood outside the cave entrance.
Eolwyn's voice called out into the crisp, cold night air.
"If you need assistance, quickly, run toward the rocks to your left."
Crouched comfortably behind the large stones, hood pulled snuggly over her head, she would not have been visible from the cave even if it had been broad daylight.

Arellius offered a confused glance in Valentia's direction as the voice called from his near-side. "Y'hear tha'?"
Cold, exhausted, and now with a vague feeling of hunger rising up within him, the Imperial wouldn't have doubted he was hallucinating.

Niralie relaxed slightly, letting out an audible sigh of relief as the summoner put down his staff, although she was still shaking. She lowered her arms and crossed them in front of her. "That's no excuse for attacking the injured," she said with a harsh edge to her voice, gaining some courage now that she wasn't in immediate danger. Even Arellius hadn't gone after the wounded when he'd attacked the group in Suran.
In answer to his question, she went on: "My name's Niralie." She paused for a moment. It felt odd asking his name, as if they were casually exchanging pleasantries on an Imperial City street, but it would probably be good to know how to address him. "And yours?"

The Cave Who Will Not Be Named
"No, it is no excuse. My apologies, I am Nandrnil, it is a.. Pleasure." Nandrnil said to Niralie. "You said there were others with you? You all really should not be out in the cold, I have some food and you would all be welcome to share my fire, if you have no where else to go." Nandrnil said to Niralie, casting a minor light spell.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures: Vol. 2
Niralie - Tunnel
Niralie wasn't sure if Nandrnil was being sarcastic (due to the circumstances in which they met) or polite when he said "pleasure", so she didn't comment on that. She had been expecting an apology, and while it did sound genuine, she internally didn't accept it - much good an apology would have done her if she was laying dead on the ground thanks to his decision. She didn't say this out loud, however: she and the others needed food and warmth and rest to survive, and antagonizing the only other person around, who was freely offering it, would not be a good idea.
She decided to just not make any remarks about that and just nodded, dropping the stiff tone from her voice as she answered. "Thank you. We don't know where we are, and we don't have any food; we do very much need it." She paused. "I can't guarantee what sort of reaction the others will give you when we get back to them, though, considering that you attacked us."

Nandrnil - The cave Tunnel
The Altmer visibly frowned at that statement. "This is a cold, hard land. Sometimes its safer to strike first when people find their way into your home." Nandrnil countered Niralie's statement. "But, you are correct in saying my actions were brash and inexcusable, so it would seem I owe you and your party a debt then. Allow me to begin to repay it by telling you that you are in Skyrim, land of the Nords." He said picking up his staff and walking towards the cave entrance.

Niralie - Tunnel
Niralie let out a small amused smile at that. "I've figured that much, with the cold. Aside from that, though, we're lost." As Nandrnil began to walk down the other tunnel, she said, confused, gesturing behind her: "Wait, isn't it....?" It was also at this moment that she realized that he had picked up his staff, but that she was still without her sword. "Wait," she said again. "Dropped my blade somewhere here." She assumed that he wouldn't go on too far ahead, so without pausing for confirmation, she emerged from her tunnel and into the main chamber. Surely it couldn't be too hard to find; she didn't think the troll had attacked her too far from here.

The Tunnel -Cave
Nandrnil attempted to cast a light spell. "I will help you look, there's no telling when another group of adventurers will pour in from the sea." The altmer said bemusedly.

Cave Entrance
Valentia had nearly had enough with all the unexpected intrusions for the day. At this point, lighting everything on fire and being done with it would bring her no small amount of satisfaction.
"You want us to just trust some voice calling out of nowhere? Why don't you come out here!?" she shouted angrily. She had not the patience to deal with subtlety.

Near the cave entrance
Eolwyn sighed as she heard the angry response shouted into the night air. The two adventurers' lack of compliance displeased her, she was hoping they would be running to her location by now, where she would be able to engaged them further whilst shielded from sight of the cave.
She pondered her possible actions for a few minutes. Whilst coming out into the open was not favourable, it seemed the only option - it was clear that the two travellers were not going to risk themselves.
Making a decision, she slowly crept out from behind the rocks.
"Alright, I'll come to you. You put me and yourselves at risk if whatever you were running from emerges from that cave, but it seems you have left me no choice." Eolwyn shouted as she made her way towards them - staying alert -though focusing more on the cave entrance than on the two waiting outside.
As she walked closer she held her arms out to the side of her hooded cloak, showing she did not brandish a weapon. "See, I only wish to help."

"Lots of help you'll be. Ever fought a daedra?" Valentia asked, eyeing the new arrival while still clenching a pulsating flame in her right hand.

From the light of the flame, Eolwyn could now see that she stood before a young Breton woman and a male Imperial.
"Yes, I have actually. A few in my time." She smiled confidently and raised her eyebrows.
"A daedra you say? A dremora was it? Conjured by someone?" Eolwyn's questions were spoken quickly and keenly. "I noticed the third member of your group did not exit with you. Not dead I hope? What happened in there?"

Valentia Rumare - Cave Mouth
Valentia huffed as she gathered her thoughts. In her flight, she had hardly stopped to think if Niralie was okay or not. She had seen her struck down, and between the Aureal and blast of magic, it was unlikely...

On deck.
Sinyail answered, ignoring the threat from the orc still. "The only problem with that approach is that the wood, being a part of the ship, is likely to still... what would be the best way to phrase it... still have water contained inside it. Or, even worse, still be taking on water; throwing a piece over the side and seeing if it sinks would be enough of a test."
Sinyail had been of the opinion that the best way out was waterwalking off the boat; but after due consideration decided that it would be better to use that approach as a last resort in case material means failed.

Eolwyn looked toward the cave.
"So....he is here" she muttered quietly to herself.
"Just the one sorcerer you say? He's alone then. That's good."
She reached behind her back, pulling out a fine looking Elven bow.
"I suggest we move further away from the cave. The mer inside is a ruthless killer and we are exposed in this open spot."

Cave - Main Cavern
It was Arellius' tanto that Niralie came across first; Nandrnil's light spell illuminating its position. Her own blade was not to far off and after a few moments longer of searching she spotted it.
Cave Entrance - Arellius Afer III
It happened fast enough that Arellius had a hard time keeping up. He bared his sword at the woman as she approached but made no further moves. He wasn't going to refuse help in a situation like this. As their mystery-companion spoke to his companion he listened intently. His eyes wandered about her body scanning her armour and weapons. She exerted an air of professionalism about her, and her words and mannerisms indicated that it wasn't luck that placed her with them. Little chance of it being a run-of-the-mill bounty hunter.
His analysis stopped as she begun indicated to enter cover again. He glanced to Valentia and shrugged before turning back to the Bosmer
"Quick then."
Ship - On Deck
On tossing a piece of wood into the water Sinyail would find that it balanced tenuously on the rough surface before being overswept and consumed by the waves.
He figured from watching that the wood that hadn't been in direct contact with the sea when the spell had been cast would be fine.
