Competition of the Month - August Edition!

Welcome one and all to the Competition of the Month!

These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two! But only one member can wear the purple coins and fancy title of CotM Winner! Do you have what it takes?

The basic rules are as follows:

This month, we want you to sell us on a TES event. Dance party at the Suran House of Earthly Delights, anyone? Or maybe a certain Whiterun-based merchant whose sale is so good, you would sell your sister? Fellow forum member dzio supplied this idea, so pitch in and create some marketing material for a TES event! It can be a flyer for a lost dog (or lost master, if you're Barbas), a flyer for a great sale, a recruitment poster for a guild, or maybe a wanted poster. If you can't draw or feel shy, why not write a great pitch for the newest edition of The Black Horse Courier? The possibilities are endless! Wow us and you can wear the fabled purple of the CotM champion!

Our schedule for the August event is as follows:
Aug. 1 - Aug. 27: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
Aug. 28 - Aug. 30: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
Aug. 31: Our winner is announced!
Please note that all times are determined by me, Avron the S’wit, and therefore will run according to GMT -5/Eastern Standard Time. (Click here if you’re unsure when, exactly, that is!)

Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

I think I stand a decent chance with this untill Uno enters and does an amazing flyer that outdoes everyone else's entries. If we did multiple enteries as one entry, would only one count or would that just count as one big entry?

One entry per customer! If you want to submit two different styles for one thing, I can accept that, but it has to be the same. (i.e., two flyers that go together)

That is untill Uno enters it and smites our entries upon the side of a mountain! Why am i obessed with LOTR of late?

I'll be doing it in the style of the black horse courier. That and I only have Paint. Publisher is the trial version due to MS being dicks and not [&@%!] including it with student office and Gimp refuses to install.

That's because you're a S'wit and have the luck of the S'wits! Anyway, I'll stop going off topic in this thread as i suspect you are sharping your claws and are planning to shred me to pieces. I may be disappointed if there is not a Sweetroll sale entry.

Seriously? Not a single entry yet? Is everyone waiting for Uno to see if we should even bother trying, or did we have a sudden and unexplained forum-wide drop in creativity?

Honestly I think Norreon could have a really good go at this if she found a topic that fits the theme. This is close but doesn't quite fit.

I was going to say that I was contemplating an entry but then Musicman started mocking the banter that was going on here so I decided to shut up until I was ready with an entry.
