Is there any way to change what an NPC is wearing? I sold a dark brotherhood helm to my favorite weapons dealer - Wayn in Bamoral - and he evidently liked it so much he decided to wear it. Ok, so you can't argue about taste, but I find it creepy, and I'd much rather see his face when I'm talking to him! He is a good-looking guy after all!

Merchants will equip the best item of its type. So you need to sell him something better, he will then equip that. For example if you sell him a glass helm, at least you can see his face.

If you want, you can just get rid of it by opening the console, clicking on the merchant so his id is at the top of the console window and typing

removeitem "DarkBrotherhood Helm" 1

Just in case you ever need to search for mods/help concerning that city, it's spelt Balmora... (will probably come in handy some time)

I had a similar issue when I sold an entire suit of Dark Brotherhood armour to a merchant, and he now looks like a gimp.

Close, it is a small estate owned by Queen Elizabeth II and includes a small village.

It's also a type of headwear, popular with kilt-wearers.

I had the same thing happen in another city. I just laughed.

Gimp costumes are sooooooo pulp fiction.



Plus, I decided to have a bit of fun with this fact, and made Meldor wear full daedric.
