the most expensive item i have seen is the daedric dai katana (50k)
but im pretty sure there are more expensive items, jsut dont know what they are or where to get them

teh most expensive items i found were keening, sunder, and wraithguard
all 500k

i don't think you really lost that money ; after all, correct me if am wrong, but selling the azura star would mean losing it & therefore not re-use for other souls ?
I had once misplaced it & it vanished from the game as a result ! now, i keep it on me at any moment. I use the souls to enchant items (doing it myself or buying) or fill up one of those used items & then get another soul.
