I managed to get it to install using the Windows XP installer that is over in the files section.
My problem is once i get in game i have very little manuverability, I cannot walk backwards, sidestep, or walk forward and turn at the same time.
I was wondering if anyone had this problem, and is there a way to fix it? I'd love to play me some daggerfall again but i cant manuever enough to dodge enemies effectively. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

That's a problem with running it on a modern PC, you can try running it with DOSBox which emulates DOS.
Download DOSBox from here: ww w.dosbox. com
Assuming you installed to C:\Dagger - You would type:
mount c c:\
c:
cd dagger
mount d c:\Dagger\Arena2 -t -cdrom
dagger
Hope this helps.

I tried running it in dosbox, and I just now tried the line of commands you gave me.
It just tells me the CD is not in the drive when I do that.
Do I need the CD Copied onto my hard drive for that to work? Or would anyone know how I make DosBox Realize the CD is in my cdrom (F: ) drive?

I also found if i type "Fall.exe z.cfg" In dosbox. It makes the game run.. But i cant maniuplate the window at all. Does anyone know whats up with this? The games running in a little window but i cant do anything do it.. Cant click "Start new game" or anything.
EDIT: I pushed Alt-Enter to make it full screen. and now i can manipulate the window! Seems to be working ok for now. Thanks Ravey for gettin me on the right track, I didnt think dos box was required but obviously it is!

I find I can run Daggerfall in XP directly but it doesn't run well, however I also have problems in DOSBox! I think what I ended up doing was using DOSBox usually, but if I needed to climb it would only let me do it in XP for some reason.
Glad you got it working.
Sometimes you have to click inside the window to activate the mouse when using DOSBox btw.
