Infected armor... can it be "fixed/cured"?

Hey all,
The armor I won as Arena Grand Champion (Armor of Valor - Light) appears to be infected from my run-in with a zombie. I took some Cure Disease potions to cure myself, but my armor seems to still have that red mark of infection and the armor class is ) for it on the main screen. Darn, of all pieces of equipment to be screwed up, my #1 armor... argh!
Anyone know if infected armor can be "fixed/cured"?

That red mark means its broken, you just have to have it repaired.

If you don't know what it is then you probably don't know how to fix it. Just go to this link and it should be enough for you to figure it out.

Well you learn something everyday!
I must just be too good to get infected

Indeed, only mere mortals can be infected

Ok I just can't help from laughing at this post
But I guess you might think that if a zombie broke your armor.

Reminds me of the time (well, there was more than one, to be honest) on the Forza Motorsport 2 forum where players complained about their engine stopping after 30 or so laps around the track.
I'll let you guess as to the exact cause of their difficulties...
... to be fair, if you don't know what the fuel gauge looks like on the HUD, then you might not consider that. Just like how does one interpret the little strange symbols on an item in your character's inventory (green droplet, blue orb, red hand— and then some red blotchy thingy?).

Green droplet=your weapon has been poisoned by that stupid bandit
Blue orb=the weapon is cursed
Red hand=the weapon is bloody, and your hands will be red after you swing it once or twice
Broken red orb=your weapon died. You will soon follow.

Read the Instructions...

On that note: did you know that the Oblivion Game of the Year Edition for XBox 360 doesn't come with an instruction manual? Found that a little odd myself. They were kind enough to include an amended paper map of Cyrodiil that included the Shivering Isles, but no booklet.

Wait, there's a manual? First I've heard of it.

There are always instructions. If not in the box, then on the disc, or online. There are also Strategy Guides. There is even this thing called a Wiki too.
Strangely enough, there is even a Tutorial Quest. Where you pick up a repair hammer, and you get this pop-up, and it tells you about repairing stuff...

Yeah, I know about those, and because of the Wiki I've never needed any manual

Unfortunately there are those that have the mentality "Because of this forum I don't need the Wiki."

That's sad. I just come here because nobody at my school is interested in Oblivion shoptalk

Want to know what is worse? Half of those are me, as I've done some editing and such. I fully realize that very few people read the rules, but ya still have to have them posted.

It's because we're all such well behaved little angels, that we so seldom need to reference them!!

Yes, and the other half is mine. I read the rules a lot. It drives my friends crazy, especially when we play a board game I just have to read the rules at least once.
Nah, I didn't really read it 50 times. After about 5 runs I memorized the whole thing.

Jeff only posted them 2 weeks ago, when he came out of the closet, erm, admitted he was a mod. Before that, the rules were just on the wiki here:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/UESPWiki:Forum_Rules
So unless you just came here in the last two weeks, there's no reason why you would have bothered to look at Jeff's sticky.

I'm willing to bet that most new member do not even know that they are there. The older member might have seen them, as it show(s)(ed) up as a new topic/reply/post
