Your first game.

What is the first game that you have played (and still remember), if you'd have the chance, would you play it again?

Commander keen for me and I wouldn't try to play it again. It would ruin the view I have on the game (because I would find out that the graphics sucked and the game was too glitchy/bugged)

Call me 'violent', but I've been playing Mortal Kombat since I was four. :D

EDIT: Not to be the grammar Nazi, but the thread name should be 'Your first game' because at the moment it means 'You are first game'... :)

The whole grammar nazi thing is getting old, to know undead_necro is to realize that english is not his first language and some leniency should be given. Don't just assume that everyone should know correct grammar and spelling.

Can I still correct the topic's name?

Super Mario Bros. or Donkey Kong Country for the Super Nintendo. I can't remember which one I played first.

Adolf Hitler. He fobbed his chance at the Austrian Divisional Spelling-Bee back when he was still just a schoolboy (misspelling the word "Schadenfreude" during the Finals and losing to a brilliant Jewish classmate), and ever since that day he took great pains to correct the spelling and usage of both his own work and the work of those around him. In fact, Canada entered WW2 because they finally got fed up with Hitler correcting poorly spellchecked Canadian diplomatic dispatches written by Quebecer staff members. True story!

Remember playing Mario on a Nintendo 64 at a friend's house, probably Super Mario 64.
The first game I played that I owned was probably Ski Air Mix on PSX when I was about 8.
My dad had such a bad choice for games :P

What? It's true! The Man doesn't want you to know about it, though- the rights to the phrase "Grammar Nazi" were taken as spoils by the Red Army following the siege of Berlin, and after the collapse of the Soviet Union, were purchased by Microsoft as part of a buyout of various Ukranian industries. They suppressed the history of the term because they knew that having a connection to Hitler and Stalin would hurt their corporate image.

Incidentally, each time you type the phrase "Grammar Nazi" into a web browser or word processor, Microsoft recieves a royalty payment of $.000001 USD. It's usually too small for the individual to notice, but it adds up for the company.

I can think of a few people who correct grammar here but I don't know who started it.

It was Pong for me as well.

I remember some game called Jungle Jim where you had this stick figure jumping over obstacles. I must have been 3 at the time--it's all pretty hazy to me now.

I have a request before I leave.
Could someone please make a post with numerous grammar mistakes...
That way I can leave in peace.

ArotosMarkos's Second-to-Last Post:

My first game: Hide or go Seek. Yes, I'd play it again with my children (Considering I have any).

My first VIDEO game: Super Mario Bros.

Well, have a nice day, everyone.
My last post will show you the true meaning of ArotosMarkos.
Full-powered Grammar Nazi rage.

First game that I know I played, but don't remember was the mario bros classic. The first game I really remember, not just a little, was OoT. OoT was one of the best video games I have ever played, barring tes and the other zelda games.

I started playing games in 1995 at the age of 2. That's when the age of computer games began, so I basically only know about those. I've mostly played shooters like the first Doom and Quake.

Are you kidding? What about the Commodore? The Tandy? Red Baron? King's Quest? Ultima? Wolfenstein 3D? Alone in the Dark? Sim City? Oregon Trail?

God, I can't be THAT old!

Combat on the Atari, and yes, it came bundled with the console. Never you mind that it was my parents' machine and I was but a wee toddler when I was finally able to flip the 'On' switch.
