Early game theivery

Ok, so i get out of the sewers and i'm now in the Mystic Emporium.
in my other game i murdered the owner and knocked Aurlinwae unconscious.
now, when i'm there, NOTHING in the store has a stolen take. it is just like there is still no owner. does anyone know why this could happen?

Just a bad glitch I'm guessing dude. That sucks I suppose, especially if you like the store, but I'm going with bad glitch.

no both aurlinwae and the guy are in the room and are looking at me, but i can pick anything up and not get in trouble

I take it you have the wizard's tower plug-in? That is the cause of 99.9% of Mystic Emporium ownership problems. The other .1 percent is from downloaded unofficial mods.

yah i've got the tower. also, i just waited inside and when it ended the owner guy got up in my face and said "it's time to leave" then i grabbed a few things and left but the door locked behind me. does this mean that i don't get the stuff for the tower?

this happens...but i dont know why but i do know that theres nothing that would destroy your game and tt its just a minor glitch.
jus use the console to unlock the door

I have the exact same "problem".I did that beacause it is not a problem at all !.For the locked door problem...YOU'RE A THIEF !!! for gods sake,just pick the dang lock!.And for the theft problem,I found this a fairly simple way to get money really quick.All you have to do is sell those Items you can 'take' and sell them to other merchants.I also undestand you are in the thievs guild,and you want to make money.This is also easy to do.Probably just go and get into a mages guild at night(don't join it!!!) And rob them blind while they're asleep.(Bruma mages guild is the best).Anyway,I'm pretty sure that locked door happens on every console version of Oblivion,I'm pretty sure the non-stolen-flag item thing is natural to.

you know too much about my secret life... so i'll assume you know that i'm also in the dark brotherhood?
anyway, i just got arrested for some nasty business involving a watermelon and when i came back the door was open.
