SI and KOTN are worth it, and they both renewed my interest in Oblivion -much more than I thought possible.

Get Oscuro's Oblvion Overhaul and start a new character.[/url]

Train up your armourer and alchemy/healing skills, leave with nothing but armour, repair hammers, soul gems if necessary and whatever weapons you need. Set off in any direction you desire, exploring every cave/mine/ruin you come to. See how long you can survive before you have to return to a town for any reason.

I have a character who is now good enough to be able to survive out in the wilderness for as long as he needs to. It's a great way to play the game.

How about this? Play some other game for a while? After beating Oblivion a few times I ran into the same problem. When the same thing happened with Fable: TLC I just switched to some other games for a few months then came back to it. When you come back from your Oblivion break you'll be surprised at how new the game seems again.

The same thing happened to me a couple times. I got tired of playing Oblivion so I started to play another game of interest like Blue Dragon and Metroid Prime 3 or Halo 3. After a while, I suddenly had the urge to play Oblivion, so I did, started a new character and many things new to me and exciting. it's what I like to call "The Oblivion Revival Treatment!"

Normally I play at the default. The new character I made, I decided to play at MAX Difficulty. This has made the battles totally different.

I actualy died last night. Part of it was due to the "Hunters Fame and Infamy" Mod, as I was cornered in my bedroom by five Morag Tong Assasins.

Another aspect that it changed, was weapon enchantment charges, as it is taking 6 times longer to kill, I use 6 times more charges. Even having Azura's Star, I come up short sometimes. I've been using the MG Rechargers, when I can, and it can get pretty expensive.

what does hunter's fame + infamy do?

Sounds like it adds assasins to kill you if you are too good. Literally.

ah. forgive my pc illiteracy.

It sends Morag Tong after you for fame, and Imperial Tracker after you for infamy. If you have both, you have double assasins after you. about every 3-4 point increases.

I filled the Anvil house to the roof with melons once.

I accidently duped about 8000 scrolls inside Mystic Emporium once.

Haha lol, I can imagine the lag. But 8000?? How did you do that? Arrows?

Scrolls, actually. I can't do the arrow glitch. I just figured out a way to duplicate with scrolls incredibly fast. It probably took me less than a minute to get the 8000.
