You are bored of Oblivion ? try out a Master Thief !

ive made a thief character and simply decided to steal all the valuable items from all the houses in the game. already cleared out Bruma, Leyawinn, and Bravil, starting Anvil. it takes time but its very cool to go to, for example, the Mages Guild in Bruma and seeing that ALL the books and furniture are gone. Even cleared out the guards barracks.
and the fun thing is trying to actually stealing everything without being seen by any NPC exept the thief guild fences. the imperial city is going to be a very nice moment, with all the merchants.

that is the greatest idea ever, I will do that when i am done "efficient leveling" my bosmer.

side note, i really want that mazken armor so i can jerk off to my hot wood elf in bondage clothes. But of course it has to be the highest level armor

I am still new to the game. My aim is to play a wariror quite abit more and then make a second evil mage/thief character and purchase Thieves Den and have some evil fun.

I've been rping a kajiit thief/murderer (not DB, he kills when he's drunk: not paid).

Recently had to start over for all intents and purposes.

all my stuff (including Lachance's black robe and hood) is in a Chorral evidence chest. I escaped from jail and forgot to grab it on the way out. Imagine a low level character in the IC with literally only the clothes on his back, 30 gold and one lockpick.

Sounds like a good way to do something if your bored and done everything else. It'll probably test your true skill as a thief. And if your really skilled, trying planting some stolen property on someone else or in someone elses home.

it is really fun and challenging, especially since this is my no fast-travel character. that makes a HUGE difference, it's like a whole different game.

I actually started that about four days ago:
My normal playing style is stealth. I've pretty much gone through the game twice, so I needed a new way to play. So, I made a Orc and started using maces and I quit fast traveling. But then after I'd done about 20 or 30 missions I was looking at my stats and realized that during character creation I hit blade and blunt instead of block and blunt. So my block skill was crap and my blade skill was high for no reason. I started over yesterday. Still going the no fast-travel route. You're right it's..

Not to mention it's actually better for improving combat skills. Mostly I just like being able to sit back and enjoy the game at a nice pace.

I don't fast travel at the begining of the game, until I get all of the map markers along the main roads.

However, it gets boring after a while.

I use alchemy as a minor, but also as a skill to help me get 5 in Intelligence. I do the no fast travel right after I level up, to collect ingredients for making potions.

That's why I only have that one that doesn't fast travel. all the others do.

one thing it does for immersion is that no-fast travel renders the mod houses moot, sine they are too far out of the way to be practical.

Not if you get one in a city or right outside it.

I meant the OFFICIAL mods. 360, remember?

That was what I thought.

I like to mix it up. During the week, I tend to fast travel, as I usually only play for an hour or two. On the weekend, I usually have more time, so take the long way home.

Once you have looted a full village/town, do items respawn?

Items in Containers (chests, drawers, food sacks) do, after 72 game hours after you leave the cell. If you go back in before 72 hours, then it adds another 72 hours before respawn.

Specifiic, named, special items, not in containers do not respawn.

Supposedly, clutter items, like plates, bowls, ect respawn.

Magic items, weapons, armour ect, are random, so you usually get different items after respawn.

oh BTW just discovered a HUGE thing yesterday. lets add a few facts one to another :

-guards have 2 sets of cloths : bed-time one and duty one
-when they sleep u can pickpocket their armor
-when they are on duty u can pickpocket their bed-time cloths

so a huge thing is stealing their armor and seeing guards in casual clothes pattrolling around
but when you do that they ALWAYS keep their casual clothes on

so the really great thing to do, and a little tricky, is :
-pickpocketing their casual clothes when they are in service
-THEN they sleep naked
-and u pickpocket their armor

do i need to say more ?

naked guards everywhere !!!

oh and i put alchemy as a major skill : two 1g worth food make one 30g worth potion, and my alchemy skill is 80, higher than my lcokpicking !

BTW if you want nice loot from stealing, try Jesan Sextius' house in Anvil, enchanted helm with resist magic worth 1700g !

and the skingrad castle has at least 2000g worth of wine in the cellar...and they say that Hassildor only drinks blood...

On that note, when I saved Farwil Indarys and his friend, they both came back naked! The wiki http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_W ... night#Bugs says it's because their armor is broken (makes sense, they had on steel and I did the quest in my mid 20s). I'm not usually one to exploit glitches to make my game easier, but I would like to give them some new armor. My conjuration and sneak skills are very low, so I don't think zero weight armor is an option. Is there a console command I can use to give them a new set of steel armor?

maybe...
kill them, equip new armor on them, resurect them using the console

When you are in the Console, click on the person you want to add an item to, on the top middle of your screen you will see thier name and ID, then type additem ##### (instead of player.additem #####)

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Items

The lists have the item names, ##### = Item ID, you do not need the 000

example: Daedric Cuirass 0003635B = additem 3635B

Does this also get them to equip the item? Or does it just stick it in their inventory, meaning I'd need to antagonize them into equipping it somehow?

and geez.... quoting your post triggered the spam filter!

Because it had a link in it. However, you now have 10 posts, after 7 days from your join date, you'll be able to post links.

That depends on the NPC. Usually they will equip what ever is best. Unless they have a schedule that tells them to wear cloths during certain times/activities.

With those two, and the quest, I would think they would equip it immediately. Especially since they don't have anything else to wear.

This my be a better idea for you. Plus it is not cheating, as it is a mod, and actually should have been put in the game.
Companion Share and Recruit: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3066

I use the old version, as I do not want to get OBSE. Also, the old version does what I want it to. It allows me to make the "Forced" Companions that I have in game, more interactive. In real life, if I had spare equipment, and I had to escort someone, it would be smart to give it to them, so they won't die.

Plus, it makes the Companion your level.

Grrr, the thing keeps telling me I can't post because I'm an evil spammer, even after I edited out the links I accidentally quoted (yet again, you'd think I'd learn after the first time!)

But anyway, thanks for the mod link. I wonder how come it let me link to the wiki before?
