The ultimate Heist

During the ultimate heist quest while retreiving the elder scroll i accidently talked to one of the monks and escaped the palace. What i didnt realize is that i didnt take the elder scroll. Is there anyway i can go and get it back?

damn what a waste of time those quests were
. So does the quest stay as it is or should I have gotten a failure? This is the ps3 version btw

you failed. you only have one shot at that mission. just reload an earlier save is all I can tell you, I obviously play on 360 so I'm used to the restrictions of a console.

Yes, this is one other reason that makes the ultimate heist a horrible mission. It was quite mean to me as well.

I just thought I'd throw out there that I've went through it at least three different times and I've had zero problems with that mission.

The reason why I hate the mission is because with my first character I played it on very hard w/out knowing it until I got inside the castle and realized, "SO THAT'S WHY I HAD TO RUN PAST FIVE HUNDRED GHOSTS"
I didn't even get the leveling system in the game at that point.
After I finally beat it and went to sleep, I gained 7 levels and I was like "WOAH"

I screwed ultimate heist up as well, I got bored trying to get the arrow of extrication, or whatever into the statue and gave up and went to do another mission. Thing was I forgot to pick up the damn arrow before I left! After I recognised my mistake I went back to try and retrieve the arrow but it wasn't anywhere to be found! Now the stupid quest is stuck in my journal forever and I'll never complete the thieves guild... bugger!

I'm sorry, but that's funny. I hate how long the quest is and the dumb arrow.
