Loyalty Problems!!

I am working my way through all the factions and the house I chose was Redoran because they are the only awesome guys out of the great houses. I 'm not able to join thieves guild, so that last one is Morag Tong. I've been doing good until it came to Guril Retheran (I think that's his name). I talked to him and he doesn't initiate a battle, so I attack him. This expells me from House Redoran because his family is influential in the house. Is there anyway around this problem? Can I kill him without getting expelled, can I not do the mission and still advance in the guild. Can I do any of this while still preserving a good reputation?

Did you intimidate an taunt him until he attacks you? Looks like the only way.

No you can't, he's all [&@%!] and says GOODAY TO YOU SIR! before you can say anything to him. It's up to you to roundhouse him to the face chuck norris style. But Redoran does not appreciate its beauty. Is there something you can type in the console to make him attack you? You can add topics to individuals... If only there was an opposite to the calm humanoid spell.

If I am correct I did this quest. No member of Redoran though. Luckely I saved before attacking him. At first all members of his family in the house attacked me when I killed him, and so I had to kill them all, but I remembered in time I only had a writ for Guril. Killing all of them off would not be honorable. In my memory there was a possability to close all doors to be alone with him, so I was not caught in the act. I remember to walk away free of wreckage. I YOU are not caught, no one will expell you.

Yeah, I can't take him away from the room and there are three other people there, but thats a good line of thinking. Maybe I can kill him secretly. Can you have a really high sneak level and kill someone and no one will notice?

Using the 'sound' spell seems to P.O. people without anyone noticing. . .what does the 'demoralize humanoid' spell do?

In a word...YES! Get the Amulet of Shadows, take off your boots, and hit him while sneaking. You may have to do this a couple times (unless you can kill him in one blow). People tend to run around when you do this, so be patient and quicksave after each successful hit in case someboday spots you during the next one.

That's smart, Doogy. I never got away with it, but I am going to practice that one, save by save...

Personally...

I'd use calm humanoid then bribe the target then taunt them into attacking me.
I think you'll gain alot of skill points across the board if you use a combination of all the suggestions but use one that fits best with your playing style (I'm a big mouthed smart ar*e so talking and paying are my best suited skills ;¬)

i dunnow about the computer console, but i have the game of the year addition for xbox, so i just go out and buy some "rally huminoid" scrolls. if that doesnt work, i just steal somthing so he will see me let him attack me then waist him. all youll get in trouble for is the theft, so take a cup or something.

There are scrolls for that all over the place too - and you can kill people without others noticing, if you do it in one hit in sneak mode, providing no-one sees you.

Yes, indeed.
I'm not so good with spells - the only magic skill I have is Enchant. So whenever I need a spell, I buy it then enchant a bit of paper with it. Expensive, but it works. And no magicka loss, and as an Atronach that is always handy for Call Wolf and Bear.

Hey flubly, I have an idea. Take the Morrowind cd out of your computer and shove it up your ass.

in addition to all these suggestions i'd add pickpocketing (Oh it can be mentioned previously - i've read only few posts). it takes just a little bounty and victim attacks you first.

bounty, scroll, or spell...i still recomend scroll, unless you suck terribly in magicka or dont have enough...
