Trying to find an old melancholic Elder Scrolls/Morrowind vampire short story

Hi,
Looking for an old Elder Scrolls/Morrowind-era short story/fanfic. It was melancholic, about a male vampire and a human warrior/friend. I vaguely remember themes of memory, storytelling, loss, and the vampire losing the will to live after the human died. I strongly remember a sad ending involving sunrise/sunlight. story might be twisted as I remember it when Morrowind was out and no further games I think.
I was looking for this story for years, now trying to check here if anyone remembers anything like this?
