IDK im new to this joint and i wanted to ask if any of you fellow warriors knew the duplication trick...if you pull back an arrow and go into your inventory uniquip the presently equipped arrows and then drop anything you want, the arrow will hit, the item you drop sprouts into how ever many arrows you have equipped. This is very cool if you need more than 1 of something, or need some cash, doesnt work on armor or weapons, it works on 360, i dont know about the PC

Yes but that version has been patched. The new one is just equiping the same scrolls twice. and have more than one of said scrolls

I love the scroll dupe

I use it to dupe arrows. It doesn't really save me that much gold, but it does save me a trip to town, and my time is definitely more valuable then my money, heh. I guess that's why I don't really consider it a "cheat". I mean, seriously, what adventurer can't get his hands on a stack of arrows? Some of us have other things to do besides spend all day haggling with merchants -- you know, like saving the damn world.

And has anyone else ever thought that the dupe glitch may actually have been intentional? I seriously can't think of any possible type of programming error that would cause an item to duplicate only when struck with an arrow and only after it has been dragged from your inventory. Doesn't the game then have to generate IDs for all those new items? It just seems too complex to have truly been coincidence, not to mention the fact that this "glitch" has survived three patches. Sounds like a debug thing to me.

I wonder if we'll see a similar feature in Fallout 3.

hmm..i downloaded a new patch from xbox live...and the dupe isnt working...did they take it out? or is there a different way?

the arrow dupe is "fixed" with the new patch so you can only use the scroll dupe

Like the arrow dupe but with scrolls

you first need to have more than one kind of scroll

so for example you have 2 detect life 5 feet scrolls
now equip the scroll but don't leave your inventory
next go over to the item you want to dupe and drop it (it can't be equipped to you) now the number of scrolls you had in the stack will be the number of duplicate items you will drop.

Recently the arrow dupe has stopped working on my XBOX 360.

I was wondering why, but I don't really rely on it so I don't really care...but it's still a fun thing to show guests or something

I tried the scroll dupe as it was described here, but that didn't work either.

I also tried the scroll dupe as it was described here, but unequipping the scrolls afterwards, but that didn't work either

Should I be equipping a different stack of scrolls instead of trying to unequip the scroll?

Does the scrolls being stolen have anything to do with my problems?

remember you need more scrolls than the item your duping, and im not sure if you need to but when i dupe with scrolls i swing my weapon and open my inventory while my sword it in front of me

Well, I was dropping an iron shortsword and only had 2 (stolen) scrolls of minor healing.

hmm maybe they cant be stolen

ya maybe they cant be stolen and noone mentioned this but supposedly your only supposed to drop 1 copy of the item your trying to dupe so that may be the problem idk

Weapons cannot be Duped. Same with armor.

um... yeah they can but using stolen scrolls usually doesn't work

wait...you mean weapons AND armor can be scroll duped? hmm..i never really tried..i know it didnt work with the Bow and Arrow dupe.

I have duped about 1000 daedric armor pieces all in one go same with weapons

lol, and i got over 200,000 gold without knowing...i fail

i tried scroll dupeing doesnt work on armor and weapons...
is it cause im on an xbox? or?

Are they repaired to 100%? It won't work if they are below or above 100%.

no stolen scrolls

100% repair

only drop one

make sure all of the above apply, then complain.
