Just hoping to save some time and effort if anybody knows off the top of their head:
1. EXACTLY what does a 'dispel' potion do?
2. Can you make black soul gems if you have not completed the 'Necromancer's Moon' quest?
3. The pieces of a girl are found in the stomach of the monster at Dive Rock. Has anybody tried to resurrect her?
4. Where is a good place to look for a Daedric helmet?
5. Is there any way to get a paralyze enchantment for a weapon?

1. EXACTLY what does a 'dispel' potion do?
-Dispels active effects cast on you like say "Burdon"
2. Can you make black soul gems if you have not completed the 'Necromancer's Moon' quest?
-Yes
3. The pieces of a girl are found in the stomach of the monster at Dive Rock. Has anybody tried to resurrect her?
-Dunno
4. Where is a good place to look for a Daedric helmet?
Oblivion Gates (At High Level) worn by Dremora
5. Is there any way to get a paralyze enchantment for a weapon?
One of the Daedic Quest rewards is a hammer with Paralze. Also Dremora are sometimes equiped with a longswrd that boasts a short duration paralize. Damn them lol

Oblivion gates are not such a great place for deadric helms. Most of dremoras having an helmet cannot be looted of their armor. I would say Bleak Mine guards after level 20, one of them almost always have one and the fighters in the tournament of 10 blood, after lvl.20 again, many of them have either glass or deadric helms.

The final stages of the main quest at high levels are a good source for d. helmets, like bleak mine guards, bndits and merauders at rockmilk cave and :SPOILER: Blackwood Guards at Fighters Guild quest information gathering.:SPOILER OUT:
All of them are like bosses, try a good cave. I have some trouble with the helmets, too.
Ah, dispel also destroy positive effects like feather. All of these who appears at the corner of the window

To the paralysis thing, I looted a daedric dagger with 5 second paralysis! Was I lucky then? I kept it as it's useful.

3. The pieces of a girl are found in the stomach of the monster at Dive Rock. Has anybody tried to resurrect her?
A.) The pieces of a girl are items. You can not ressurect items.
5. Is there any way to get a paralyze enchantment for a weapon?
A.) You can find Enchanted Weapons that have Paralyze.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Gener ... s#Paralyze
You can not Enchant Weapons with the Paralyze Spell. There are no Sigil Stones with Paralyze as an Enchantement.

Thanks VERY much folks, very helpful.
The current situation is:
1&2 -- settled
3. The girl in pieces is an obvious invitation to resurrection. I haven't heard anything about it, though. This game lets you down a lot in situations like that.
4. Paralyse. My only regret for this character is that I did not keep the hammer (Volendrang?) with the paralysis. At the time it seemed too heavy and I wanted the enchantment to take off health points, too. I now think it would be ideal against one opponent -- you could pound him to death without him moving. I suspect, however that it's hard to damage a paralyzed opponent.
Since asking the question, I got one of the daedric fighters swords with a two-second paralyse. It only gets 10 uses on a charge of 900, but it was definitely effective against me!
I also discovered that a master of blunt can get a chance of paralyze on a forward power attack. I got this to work (once!), but it is way too much trouble.
I was hoping for a way of enchanting it myself. I guess there isn't one. I want to know about the 5-second paralysis too!
5. Daedric helmet: The highest level fighter in the oblivion gates always has Daedric boots, greaves, and Cuirass, and I found a shield. The gauntlets and helmet still elude me, though. Bleak mine is an excellent suggestion, but I've already done that quest, and they don't respawn.
All the bandits I've seen use light armor, and very seldom wear helmets. A glass helmet is not easy to find.
I will follow up the fighter's guild hint. In the meantime I've been looking in caves with mythic characters or natural characters. They always have one chest with something unusual. So far I've found a daedric cuirass and (argh!) an ebony helmet.

Not exactly sure but how often do you really need to use it? Something (very roughly) like 3000, 30 uses

Have you done "The Collector" Mini Series?
After the part of the quest where you visit Malada to obtain an engraving you are ambushed by a rival treasure hunter. One of his men is wearing a full suit of Deidric armour. (assuming you are high level when you do the quest)

And that worked, thanks very much.
I get it now, there's no fixed place to get some items. At the right levels npc in quests will have them.

It means you will never have to do much serious fighting again. At least not against a single opponent. Make damage health (or other poison) potions, and put them on a hotkey. Poison your dagger, and stab the opponent. After five seconds, when he tries to get up, stab him again. The poison will kill him before he ever hits you.
