Any lore linking Ayleids with Daedria or Oblivion?

I was playing through the Remaster version of Oblivion, came across the first Ayleid Statue, and after sometime doing other things, made my way inside the first oblivion gates around the region. When I realised something looking up at one of the towers lanterns. Those are Ayleid Statues!
Ayleid Statues the things you collect for the quest 'The Collector', don't do anything at least now, but have a very specific design about them. On Oblivion (the plane) inside ever tower types are red-glowing lanterns that are upside-down Ayleid Statues.
The Oblivion version lacks the cut gemstone of Meteoric Glass in its central column and is instead hollow, with red light seemingly radiating from within.
Meteoric Glass, as described in lore, is said to have fallen from the sky - or from Aetherius to Nirn. On the other hand, while I don't know anything about 'Dark Welkynd Stones', they appear in traps inside Ayleid ruins and in Temple of the Ancestor Moths (notably during the 'Turning a Blind Eye' quest). These stones deal elemental damage (frost or shock), on Nirn, and on Oblivion are used in the spinning fire trap and the fire land mines.
It seems then that the Meteoric Glass that falls from Aetherius does have an Oblivion counterpart. But what or why would Oblivion be influenced to use the Ayleid Statue design (or vice-versa I guess)? If there is even a lore reason and simply just reusing asset models.
I find it very curious that the Ayleid design appears on Oblivion at all. And have to wonder if there is a hidden lore hinting at a deeper connection between the Ayleids and the Daedric realms?
