Just after using the "elevator" there is a "Rusted Dwemer Cabinet". It has a Dwemer Coin and a rusty cog inside and two coins on top. Picking up either coin crashes the game. Has support and development of Tamriel Rebuilt come to an end?

No, quite the opposite. The development team have their own
forums and
Discord if you'd like to reach out to them directly about this issue.
