Making money (as a Lawful Neutral)

I've completed the civil war in the Empire's favor. I wish to start collecting gold to buy the house in Solitude with. Which, iirc, costs 20k. I have a warrior character that is very lawful neutral and would not want to errantly break the law for convenience of making gold in less than.. Reputable ways. So what are some good ways to make gold level 18 and up? I'm somewhat tempted to annihilate the DB, and get the 3k for it, plus what enchanted gear of them I can sell off, but I am loathe to have to "perform murder" just to "end" the murderers. Grelod may be an evil old trollop, but killing her would still be unlawful. :P Also, iirc, one cannot annihilate the thieves guild. Else I'd gladly rocket off to the TG's hideout and get them all.
So. I've pretty much explored most of the map, and I do not know if previously cleared caves/fortresses/etc reset their baddies as it did in Oblivion.
Does anyone have any bright ideas that could fall in line with my character's disposition towards the law? :)

There are scads of blue flowers all over the Harfingaar peninsula, and tons of butterflies are flitting about in the Stormcloak camp. Have your mighty warrior wipe out the enemy camp, then go prancing through the grassy fields and snowy trails picking all the flowers you can see.

almost all places re-spawn with items and npc in ether 10 days (if place is NOT cleared or unclearable) or in 30 days (if place IS cleared) tho some places never re-spawn , so you can have a go on all bandit, necromancer, warlock, draugr and animal places what already re-spawned. Btw place gets cleared when "boss" of the place dies (with bandits it would be bandit chief or named bandit)

Aside from collecting loot off of dead criminal types and enemies, or collecting and selling alchemy ingredients, you might be able to increase your gold by buying things from merchants (or finding them in the wild), using them to create alchemical potions, weapons, armor, and jewelry, then selling your creations to merchants. Try to figure out which created items produce the greatest profit over the cost of their ingredients, as well as which ones produce the worst profit (maybe even costing more to make than you can get back by selling them), so you'll know which ones to focus on and which ones to avoid.

good money making is iron daggers with petty soulgem and banish enchantment for big return in cash, tho you need level 22 to get banish enchanted items as random loot/merchant except for garanteed ones then you need leather strips (from leather<from hides<loot/merch) and iron ingots (from iron ore<mines/merch) plus cheapest filled soul gems (from loot/merch pre-filled/self filled)

Alchemy. Just harvest every ingredient you find along the roads, turn them into potions, and then sell them to anyone who'll buy. 100 percent profit that gets out of control when you start depleting a merchant's cash fund with one or two potions, and it gives you plenty of reason to foot travel the world.

I discovered a way around that. After you've depleted a merchant's cash fund, save your game, then exit the game-- you don't need to quit to the desktop, but you do need to exit to the menu. Then continue the game at your last save and the merchant will have more cash.
