Well guys, gals, and nonbinary pals, we're back. It's been almost a year and a half since we've had our last survey, and because a couple roleplays are beginning to crop up I figured it was a good time to put up another one to capture what everyone's feeling right now.

Topic title, as before, is for dating purposes, I don't intend to remake these monthly.

Last time I posted one of these the RP forum was hitting a bit of a slowdown (one that ended in me leaving UESP totally forever and then coming back like three months later). Now, it seems we are approaching another resurgence, largely in thanks to some newcomers and returning members. Feel free to add and omit questions at your leisure.

I'm looking forward to Yarrow Run. Not only because I made two characters, but it will be my first time rping a pre-established relationship with another player, which should be interesting.

What is your favorite original world?
Persona.

Who is your favorite character that you've created?
*Trying to think of all characters*
Probably Tobias in D&D. He was fun.

Who is your least favorite character that you've created?
Sherwood in Shadow's rp. (Sorry, I've forgotten the name of it).

Who is your favorite character that someone else has created?
Oh, so many, too many to choose.
But favourite, ermm... I really can't pick one. I do like Niralie and Nora and Grelok...I'm sure there are many I'm forgetting too.

Just one? No!
Kerr and Union share the podium for my fave.

People who join rps but never post. (And never say why).

I haven't been a part of either, but seeing as it's happening right now, Nora and Eolwyn's chat is quite a nice start to a possible friendship.

All the baddies in things.

Still those Chinese ghouls.

Anyone in TA2.

Who was going to come out on top at the end of Diesel and Demons.

Saving lives of people that wouldn't do the same.

The Lost Room.

If you had to give one of the RPs you are in a theme song, what would it be and why?
Existing song-wise, I'm not sure, but it would be really fun to make up some lyrics and a tune for them all.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying?
I make mistakes all the time, can't thing of a main one though.

How have you improved in RP'ing?
Maybe got a bit more variety with character traits/ideas.

How can you improve in RP'ing?
Wider vocabulary, better punctuation/grammar, more sides/dimensions to characters.

What are some tips you would offer to someone new to the subforum?
Give your characters life. Don't think what you would do or say in a situation, think what they would do.
Don't worry about making mistakes. You don't have to be a genius writer or amazing storyteller - just be mindful, true to your character and have fun!

How would you change the RP subforum?
More posts! More players! More!

What is your favorite RP that you have participated in? My intrinsic response is Blacklight, so I'll go for that.

Favorite recent (Last year or later) RP? Cog & Gear, it was great while it lasted.

With so many new RPs being made or having recently started, what are you looking forward to? Yarrow Run

If you are a DM, what is your favorite RP you have ever created? S&S is the best RP I made, because of the players, not just me. That subway combat is probably my favorite fight in any RP.

What is your favorite original world? I thought Yultia was really interesting, it was a fantasy world which really was unlike anything I'd ever seen.

Who is your favorite character that you've created? It's probably still Chris from Blacklight. But I really liked Ned in Fire Emblem.

Who is your least favorite character that you've created? I can't remember names, but I made some real stinkers back in some short lived RPs around 2012 and so.

Who is your favorite character that someone else has created? I love Rick in Fallout. I honestly think he's added so much to the RP. There's been like 2 or 3 times where he's been this close to dying, it's been super tense. We'll see how things go but, I'd love for Fallout to end with the trial of Rick as a denouement.

Who is your least favorite character that someone else has created? (Remember, keep it limited to constructive criticism only please, and remember that it is better to say nothing at all than to say something rude). Tuck. He came across as real jerk with a frightening desire to horribly murder people, it wasn't a surprise the gang didn't want him to come along. The fedora didn't help either.

Who is your favorite DM? Me! (Not really, I just don't want to answer)

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve? Metagaming, characters knowing things their player knows but not things their character could ever possibly know.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit? It's not a pet peeve, it doesn't annoy me. But boy is it hard to predict what players are going to do and be interested in. You could put a lot of work into backstory for things they don't care about or just due to circumstance, never know, then get caught off guard by other things they really care about.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? Not wanting to adapt things for the party story wise, your players should be important to what's going it, you should plan things to involve them. It sucks to feel like all the PCs are just pointless and NPCs do everything.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not? I play men, women and nonbinary people with pretty even variance, no real preference. But yeah, for personal stuff, I used RPGs to explore my gender and come to terms with who I am, it honestly did help me a lot and it's a really great thing about the hobby.

If you favor a certain moral or ethical alignment with your characters, why? Why not? Neutral Good! Mainly because I don't really like playing characters who Lawful or Evil, but I also like benevolence and playing people who are nice. That four square of Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral is what I'm interested in.

What is your favorite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players? Adrienne and East in Vault 54 were super sweet.

What is your favorite romance or friendship you have been a part of? Nate and Kenny. Also Chris and Mutt. I liked having pets.

What are some romances or friendships that you suspect will happen in the future? Not friendship, but I think Punk June Diaz is going to have a Foeship with Rich Kid Davie in Yarrow Run.

Who was your favorite DM-created character? Kenny the Turtle dropped out of the sky and into my heart. <3

What character do you love to hate? Velvet has a tonne of characters like this. I don't dislike the characters, but I think they're jerks.

Best antagonist? Is it cheating if I say a character who wasn't in the actual RP. Because it's probably Ted from Fire Emblem.

Who were you glad to see die? I was always so fun when Nate died. Which was a lot.

Who were you sad to see die? I had a dog in Blacklight and the GM killed him, it was very sad.

Who would you be sad to see die? Tejón's drone Toro. He's a sweet lil' robot, don't do that to him.

Who had the best-written death scene? I like how Baloth handled Mumph's death in World of Darkness.

What was the most epic battle? I loved the Subway battle in S&S.

What was the tensest moment? The end of Diesel & Demons was pretty, oh, wasn't sure how that would go.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done? When characters recklessly put themselves in danger to save others.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character has done? I once had a player murder a kitten. Seriously.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep? Most, I have a weird sleep schedule. As of late, writing things for Greybox.

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all? My friends are all [&@%!] nerds, they know what RPGs are. Not that they've played them, hmm, I should really GM for them some day.

What UESP RP needs a sequel? I'd always be up for Vampire. Although my tasted have changed, I like Masquerade more than Requim now.

What discontinued RP needs a reboot? Cog & Gear was so good!

What setting would you love to see an RP take place in? I'd like to see a Multiverse exploring RP some day. Probably include some old RP settings as some of those worlds (so Diesel & Demons and Silicon & Sorcery, they'd fit, other settings wouldn't) not infinite worlds, but a lots of them, more like Planescape than Rick & Morty. I think it could be pretty cool.

Who are two characters from any RP settings that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo? If I can be sly and pick my own characters? If so Monad Flynn from Cog & Gear and Ingrid from Dragon Age. One's a witch, the other's a ranger who worships spirits, they both hate authority, it would be fun.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? Make Tejón a teacher in Yarrow Run.

If you could take control of someone else's character in exchange for control of one of your own, who would you trade for? Black Legion, I'll take Arya and Beta can be Philip.

If you had to give one of the RPs you are in a theme song, what would it be and why? I will literally spend hours if I try to answer this question. I don't want to spend that much time.

How do you predict the plot will advance in any of the RP's you're in? This mission in SFU is going to go completely pear-shaped, so many people are going to get shot.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? In the past I think I've gone more rules heavy than I should.

What is your biggest regret regarding roleplaying? I feel I screwed up a lot GMing Diesel & Demons.

How have you improved in RP'ing? I'm a good GM now, at least I like to think so, I wasn't when I started.

How can you improve in RP'ing? I could be a better editor. Typos for days! That's me.

What are some tips you would offer to someone new to the subforum? Do trust Kerr. Really don't be afraid to PM your GM. We're happy to talk to you about things, if you're having trouble or need help making a character. It really doesn't bother us.

How would you change the RP subforum? More users!

Coolest character name? Friedrich Karls or Magnus Kill'slay.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying? Viktor Cheng in Kirin's Thunder because he was much not nice.

Who does your favorite character main in Overwatch? Chris would play Mercy, of course he'd play Mercy.

A bit weird, but a good open-ended question; is there anything RP subforum-related you would like to confess? I want Kuo to be my version of Cid from Final Fantasy. I've had a Kuo in several RPs I've GM'd (there's going to be one in Greybox,) moving forward I think I should have a Kuo in all of them.

What is your favorite RP that you have participated in?: As always, a tough one. Silicon & Sorcery is always gonna be up there just for sheer amount of character interaction and stuff to do. I always looked forward to posting in S&S. Doing TA2 was also neat, but I think I enjoyed it a lot more after becoming the DM.

Favorite recent (Last year or later) RP? Really enjoyed GWN, but I'm glad it's coming to a close as well; it's time.

With so many new RPs being made or having recently started, what are you looking forward to?: I can't wait to really get into the actual plot of Persona beyond introducing the mechanics. Also really excited for Yarrow Run, I really like how Ophelia came out.

If you are a DM, what is your favorite RP you have ever created?: Persona: Shadows of the Mind is my baby. I've been wanting to run that for years now, and I'm so excited that it has not only attracted a good cast of characters, but has kept people interested for as long as the really long introduction sequence has gone on for.

What is your favorite original world?: I don't think I'll ever like a world as much aesthetically as Luada. It evoked a lot of beautiful imagery in my mind.

Who is your favorite character that you've created?: I still really like Arthas and I miss him sometimes. Ash was probably the most fun to play, and I'm looking forward to Ophelia. It's hard to choose a favorite.

What character did you not get to play enough?: Julius Lemartes in the past zombie RP. He would have been great in a leadership position, I think.

Who is your least favorite character that you've created?: Mordecai Reed IV in Diesel & Demons was such a waste of potential. I also didn't like Luke in GWN at first, honestly, but he grew on me. Tharen in Inquisition was such an obtuse overpowered DM PC that it still hurts to think about him.

Who is your favorite character that someone else has created?: I am always a fan of charming, witty characters with well-written dialogue to convey that; so, definitely among my favorites are Rook's Dorian Laennec, Baloth-Kul's Max Delaney, and Hissien's Adderyn Wakefield.

Who is your least favorite character that someone else has created? (Remember, keep it limited to constructive criticism only please, and remember that it is better to say nothing at all than to say something rude).: I dunno, if anyone remembers Unokitsune's Leileena, but... yeah.

Who is your favorite DM?: Kerr-bear <3 MARS is also giving good vibes on the world settings.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve?: People letting OOC feelings permeate IC interactions. We're all grown-ups playing make-believe on the internet, please don't make it dramatic.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit?: String out a single plot point or course of action by trying to cover every single base imaginable. Guys, if you come up with one creative solution to something, I'm probably going to give it to you.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? The DMs on this forum are spectacular. Other than the 'leaves for a while' part, nothing.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not?: I used to go for a majority of male characters, but I've been peppering a few females in there as I've gone along. As a cis dude I don't feel I understand what it is like to be a trans or nb person well enough to portray it respectfully.

If you favor a certain moral or ethical alignment with your characters, why? Why not?: Chaotic Good is beyond a shadow of my doubt my absolute favorite alignment of character to play, and it's to the point that I really need to stop it. Rolling Ash as Neutral Evil and Ophelia as True Neutral is a step in the right direction, I think.

What is your favorite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players?: No matter how many times I remake this survey, I don't think my answer will ever change. Adrienne and East in Vault 54 just felt so real.

What is your favorite romance or friendship you have been a part of?: Valentia & Dorian's short fling, brief as it was, was so incredibly sweet that I still get all giddy when I think about it.

What are some romances or friendships that you suspect will happen in the future?: Ophelia is gonna have a crush on EVERYONE in Yarrow Run. Seriously though, Ophelia is going to find Amelie to be adorable.

Who was your favorite DM-created character? Any of the Kuos in the Kerr RPs generally make me smile. Overall though, I was a huge fan of Prince Naoise in World of Darkness, right down to the part where she had Ashling incinerated.

What character do you love to hate?: Boy howdy, Lodds.

Best antagonist?: A toss-up. I really liked Gamlen, the Lich from S&S. Mr. Butler in World of Darkness sure as hell screwed Ash over as well.

Who were you glad to see die?: Eat a dick, Ezekiel! <3

Who were you sad to see die?: Ash. She had such a bright future. It just got a little... too bright.

Who would you be sad to see die?: Anyone in Persona. Death is not fun when you're a guest of the Velvet Room.

Who had the best-written death scene?: Even though it was totally misinterpreted by those involved, Jesscia Wood's insanity-induced suicide in the Church of Cleansing Flame (Vault 54) was fantastic. Mumph's final soliloquy in World of Darkness was also really touching.

What was the most epic battle?: The subway incident or the fight against the lich in Silicon & Sorcery, and the battle for Jacksbank in Vault 54 was also really grand.

What was the tensest moment?: Trying to talk down Nic from killing himself in S&S drove me nuts. Also, deciding whether or not to leave Dublin in World of Darkness.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done?: Technically speaking, Daud's sacrifice to stop an evil god in the ending of Call of the Abyss, but since that wasn't in the RP it doesn't really count. I think that the honor goes to the party delivering the bad news of Lithia's demise to the innkeeper in TA2; They really helped lessen the blow there.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character has done?: As Ash, I literally blew a dude's head off, ate his immortal soul, and considered doing it again only a few hours later. Trophy is mine.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep?: Vault 54, because it moved at like 20 pages a minute. Such a good, fun pace, blazingly fast as it was.

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all?: Communal storytelling. Playing D&D but on a forum. Typically if they would react negatively to my idea of fun, they aren't my friend.

What UESP RP needs a sequel?: I think I'll never stop saying S&S. Beyond that, another World of Darkness entry would be awesome.

What discontinued RP needs a reboot?: I think Flashpoint had some serious potential.

What setting would you love to see an RP take place in?: The only thing keeping me from making a roleplay in the XCOM setting is that I know I can barely handle 2 RPs at once, much less 3.

Who are two characters from any RP settings that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo?: I am a [&@%!] SUCKER for shipping people. I think Makoto from Persona and Ophelia from Yarrow would be adorable as they try to out-shy each other.

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go?: I think Luke would be an interesting character outside of Fallout, particularly as a vampire in WoD. That would have really messed with his faith.

If you had to give one of the RPs you are in a theme song, what would it be and why?: I do this already for mine, really.

How do you predict the plot will advance in any of the RP's you're in?: Yarrow Run is going to involve a whooooole lot of suffering. GWN is nearing the end and I predict that Rick is gonna be convicted, because honestly it's the most fitting end for him thematically.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying?: DM PCs. Not a good idea. There's a difference between having an NPC guide the players as opposed to just making your DM avatar experience all the stuff you already know is going to happen.

What is your biggest regret regarding roleplaying?: Letting The Forgotten Wardens die, being absent from Vault 54 for so long, not being in a lot of them.

How have you improved in RP'ing?: Been doing this for 15 years. I still amaze myself when I look back at writing only months old. You can learn so much in such little time. Specifically, I think I've gotten better at inserting prose and colorful language into my writing, whereas before I was really bad at doing anything that wasn't plain or descriptive. I still think I could be more verbose, but it's difficult.

How can you improve in RP'ing?: STOP RE-USING WORDS THAT WERE ALREADY IN THE SENTENCE. IT DOES NOT READ WELL.

What are some tips you would offer to someone new to the subforum?: Just jump right in. Seriously. If you make a mistake, just listen to what we have to say, and fix it. We don't bite.

How would you change the RP subforum?: I would say amp the pace up, but to be real, we have a very steady group of people here. That means I think we should take advantage of the close-knit group we've got and ensure that we keep posts regular enough to not let anyone lose interest.

Coolest character name?: Landon Free-Wind in The Forgotten Wardens. I've never seen a name that conveys the ideas of freedom and liberation so well before.

Most unique character trait?: Everything about Caiusin S&S. He wasn't that bad, Beta.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying?: Ash! I should play more evil characters, but they're often very juxtaposed to plot progression, so it's difficult to find a place where they'd work.

A bit weird, but a good open-ended question; is there anything RP subforum-related you would like to confess?: I was totally begging for praise for Arthas at the time, guys. It was [&@%!], but there was a distinct lack of praise for my creative writing hobby at the time, so it just felt so nice to hear compliments.

Who do your characters main in Overwatch?:
- Arthas is a Lucio main.
- Luke mains Mei, alts Winston.
- Ophelia mains Torbjorn because she isn't good at aiming.
- Valentia is a Tracer main. Mostly because she thinks Tracer is cute.

What is your favorite RP that you have participated in? That is quite a hard question because there are plenty of decent RPs. If I had to pick one and at gunpoint along with being at the mercy of the almighty dice rolls, I would say hm.... TA2? Namely because it's still going when by rights, it should be dead. Let me expand on that before you tear me apart! The change in DMs several times could have really messed it up due to plot issues, interest potentially being lost but like TNA Wrestling, it will continue to survive. Only, TA2 is far better then TNA in terms of consistent quality.

Favorite recent (Last year or later) RP?
Dragon Age Rebellion because it's Dragon Age. Erm.... don't really have ne but SFU looks to be my favourite. Namely because I was very creative with my PC and if it goes well, could be very interesting. Until the gods of the dice screw me over at the worst possible time.
With so many new RPs being made or having recently started, what are you looking forward to?
None to be honest. SFU was the only new one and if I can get around to Yarrow Runs. Yarrow Run is the only logical choice. Oh and Kerr's next RP. It's practically mandatory to look forward to Kerr. That and now she is a TPM, we have to look forward or risk being coinless.

As much as I love to disown it and flat out refuse to adknowledge it, I will admit, that crappy piece of unplanned Sheogorath RP i did is a favourite. That and the other choice is the failed Gladiators RP. One day, I will get an RP up and running.

There is a legend that there was one a character named Cherdenko. His style of RPing became legendary and is now immortalised in the annuals of UESP RP forum. Whatever happened to Cherdenko, we shall never know but Cherdenko was a legend! :mrgreen:

Oh and i suppose, current RP wise, whoever bribes me the most gets their character mentioned. That remains to be seen. Though last survey probably contains different answers.

Godmodders and Out of Character posts in RPs. Fortunately, that is not an issue here. Dropping out of RPs unannounced and is pretty much a big fear of mine regarding my next RP. Gladiator died because of abandonement. Really ramping up concepts and making it interesting is what my approach is. Heck, the cancelled XCOM RP could have been the RP that made me a notable DM. Plot issues is what killed it. :( Darn it, XCOM happens even when it's not the game! T-T

Katlina, GWN: Grace, Chris, Lucas and i think that's it. Grace because she is semi-decent and i rather not end the RP with a higher kill count. Of my PCs. SFU: Cipher because well, i put a ton of thought into it and potentially could be the best one if i execute him properly. Trejon, Doktor because they seem very likeable fellas. Persona: Any of the cast though tis likely to be Oscar that dies if I am not careful.

Literally no deaths in the past year that are worth mentioning.
What was the most epic battle?
The Seige of Windhelm.

Erm... i don't think there is. If anything, I am [&@%!] then I was just over a year ago and despite my attempts to improve, seem to constantly fall short. I mean, literally none of my characters are as likeable as everyone else's character. Some, i cock up within the first post, others? I make a fatal mistake. I am writing fanfiction again and hopefully, as a by product, my standards will improve. If not, yeah, i will end up sucking. :(

Writing fanfiction. Using more thoughts, using different traits. Recongising when to take small RP breaks when life is kicking my arse.

While it's not as if we have a staggeringly large RP community, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a pleasant ego-stroke to see my name and those of my characters cropping up repeatedly. :sweetroll:

Y'know, I used to feel weird about playing anything other than men, because "I'm a man, I don't really feel like I can get into character otherwise". But nah. Now I have absolutely zero preference. Several party members will slap and/or punch eachother, and we will gradually come to a tense working relationship to squash shadows. GWN? Rick goes to trial, gets sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. Or maybe hard labor. They could just put him to death, but that's no fun.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? Every single thing in V54. But to name one specifically? -sigh- Interpreting it as more of a group writing thing, and trying to write in...Ghoul children? (Which is pretty lore breaking. Arguably.)

What is your biggest regret regarding roleplaying? Vanishing partway through S&S. :(

What is your favorite RP that you have participated in? Justice Knights, The Coming Dark

Favorite recent (Last year or later) RP? The only RP I am in, and not DM, which is currently active is Tamriellic Adventures - but having been in that for four years, I'm not sure I can quite call it recent.

With so many new RPs being made or having recently started, what are you looking forward to? Everything - but especially MARS's Yarrow Run.

If you are a DM, what is your favorite RP you have ever created? Searching for Utopia.

What is your favorite original world? <insert any Kerr world here>

Who is your favorite character that you've created? Probably Arellius. Even if I'm still waiting to expand him beyond Brute, he's grown on me over the last number of years.

Who is your least favorite character that you've created? The one I created for Kerr's D&D. In theory, it seemed like a nice idea to me - But in practice, he was super difficult to play.

Who is your favorite character that someone else has created? MARS's Eve Hartman.

Who is your least favorite character that someone else has created? (Remember, keep it limited to constructive criticism only please, and remember that it is better to say nothing at all than to say something rude). N/a

Who is your favorite DM? DMs are incommensurable: Everyone brings something different to the table.

What is your biggest general RPing pet peeve? Metagaming >>>>>>>> Any other issue.

DMs, what is your biggest pet peeve your mindless subjects commit? Disappearing acts. More-so because as an overly ambitious first-time DM I built plots with certain characters in mind.

Players, what is your pet peeve DM injustice? Fast-forwarding through dialogue scenes, jumping from scripted event-to-event, not allocating enough time to character interaction and development.

If you favor a certain gender (or something in between or a lack thereof) with your characters, why? Why not? I don't really favour anything. Usually, I just want to explore a certain, well-defined theme (fanaticism, loneliness, etc.) and I use whatever vessel is best given the social context.

If you favor a certain moral or ethical alignment with your characters, why? Why not? Evil, chaotic.

What is your favorite romance or friendship, whether cheesy or serious, RPed by other players? Jim and Nancy from Kerr's They Came from the Stars.

What is your favorite romance or friendship you have been a part of? Eve and Kevin's budding friendship in DS's Rise of the Living Dead. That was literally peak character interaction.

What are some romances or friendships that you suspect will happen in the future? Y'know I think Nora and Arrelius could come to really respect and appreciate each other and th- Oh who am I kidding, #Nirellius4Life.

Who was your favorite DM-created character? Long ago I was in a RP with POMC where I played a character called Sara. That character was partnered up with another character and they explored ruins together. That plotline was the best one I ever played precisely because the character was so good.

What character do you love to hate? BetaB's Nora grates me to hell but in a good way.

Best antagonist? Musicman's Lust.

Who were you glad to see die? TLD's Hodor!!!

Who were you sad to see die? Per's Per.

Who would you be sad to see die? Alarra's Niralie - who I believe is the only other cast member who started TA2 with Arellius remaining.

Who had the best-written death scene? Per's Per.

What was the most epic battle? N/a

What was the tensest moment? Honestly, I always thought that hostage scene in S&S was really freaking tense. I have a habit of playing characters than in open combat could be made mincemeat in a matter of seconds and throughout I was worried about getting shot-up.

What was the most morally 'good' thing a character has done? I'm open to suggestions from others here.

What was the most morally 'evil' thing a character has done? The Debt Collector's rape and murder scene.

What RP has kept you up thinking when you're trying to sleep? I don't think any have.

How do you explain RPing to your friends, if at all? I write collaborative fiction online.

What UESP RP needs a sequel? S&S. But at the same time I feel like it would be a waste of Kerr's worldbuilding talents to ever even consider a sequel.

What discontinued RP needs a reboot? Any zombie RP ever.

What setting would you love to see an RP take place in? Steampunk late 1890s Japan - or Steampunk mid 1920s Manchuria - or Dieselpunk 1950s Siberia. Or like zombie versions of any of these. I would also like to see a nation-building RP at some stage.

Who are two characters from any RP settings that would go good together, romantically or just as a friendship duo? N/a

If you had to take one of your characters and put them in a different RP setting, who and where would they go? The Debt Collector taking the jump to any science-fiction RP would be interesting to witness. Though as mentioned above: most of my late character are pretty specifically tailored to the social context of a given RP - I can't imagine playing any of them outside of that context.

If you could take control of someone else's character in exchange for control of one of your own, who would you trade for? Niralie - I'd liked to be liked - and Alarra could, in turn, take control of Arellius, of course.

If you had to give one of the RPs you are in a theme song, what would it be and why? Black Legion: 99 Luftballons, since it's heavily intended to be an anti-war RP. Searching for Utopia: The Loco-motion as intended to contrast with the dark, dreary atmosphere and ultraviolence, and accentuate the madness of it all.

How do you predict the plot will advance in any of the RP's you're in? Literally no idea.

What's the biggest honest mistake you've made when roleplaying? I think Black Legion was - as a first RP - way too ambitious. It has so many little individual errors in it - but they all come under that broader heading.

What is your biggest regret regarding roleplaying? I'm not actually sure. It's probably a toss up between leading my character into development holes - see: Arya across a number of POMC's RPs - or on a number of occasions getting too ambitious with my characters from the start.

How have you improved in RP'ing? I was terrible when I started so in literally every dimension.

How can you improve in RP'ing? I think I'm lacking most in the dialogue department though I'm not sure if I can get better there. In terms of DMing I need to become better at anticipating my players, and connecting plot-points since I have a horrible habit of writing scenes and then ad-hoc the connections between them I have found.

What are some tips you would offer to someone new to the subforum? Just jump in. Seriously. Try things out - push boundaries. Your instinct about a given character situation is more right than you'll ever give it credit for so don't be worried if you aren't exactly certain about how to proceed in a situation.

How would you change the RP subforum? I would love to see some more active players.

Coolest character name? No idea here really.

Most unique character trait? Tejón's dad jokes.

What character of yours helped you get out of your 'comfort zone' for roleplaying? Not sure. I think what I don't play often is characters that are on the queiter side of things - having pretty gravely screwed one up years ago, I am hoping that Yarrow Run's Davie can reintroduce me to the idea.

You guys write beautiful plots - really - but the reason I can only tell you anything about a handful of exceptional ones is that I don't really pay all that much attention to them. I like playing characters and exploring ideas with them - not necessarily writing any sort of story.

Who had the best avatar on the subforum and why is it Velvet LeChance? Guys a creative genius. I'm not even sure he means to be this good.

Y'know, this is super refreshing to hear, seriously. Not so much the beautiful plots idea, but it's very interesting to see where people come from when they want to enjoy stuff. When it comes to what I like out of RPs, I love looking back and reflecting back on the plots because I love a well-tied-together story. I love the characters individually, don't get me wrong, but what I like most about our many, many player casts over the years is the way they come together to be a sum larger than the parts.

I'll endeavor to sprinkle in more character interaction opportunities in TA2 for certain. It's hard to sit on a plot you've written almost 2 years ago and have to wait on people to progress through it (not that it's a chore, please don't misinterpret me; I'm just really excited to show you guys all I have in store), so I have definitely failed in that regard looking back. So for that, I apologize.

I really, really appreciate you filling this out Velvet. Yours is one of the more unique views on the sub and I like seeing how we can make things an enjoyable experience in a broader sense.
