Dragons and the Aether...

Okay this might sound a bit off but.... Say that a dragon gets fed up with the Mundus and aptly decides that hes going to leave, Could he simply fly off through the sun and into the aether using the Become Etheral shout to remove any damage he might receive on the way? Is that plausible?

We know of one account of a dragon who tried to enter oblivion, and failed (at least, on his own).
I doubt that for a "normal" dragon, it would be possible to reach aetherius as well. It was alduins privilege to enter sovngarde (which is a part of aetherius) and feed upon the souls of the fallen.

Surely using Become ethereal should mitigate or null any damage received though? Considering it renders the user in ethereal form? Also while im on the Topic is it possible for a Dragon to achieve CHIM??

Not necessarily; several daedric/otherworldly forces are shown to damage those who are ethereal (Nocturnal's light, Herma-Mora's darkness, etc,.)

Ill take that as a resounding nope then XD, What about the CHIM question though? Can Dragons (or any species for that matter) achieve it? Surely Paarthurnax is close XP

CHIM might just be beyond their understanding much like the concept of mortality >_> I suspect many greater beings have the knowledge and potential, but lack the very means to achieve.. o while worthless to them and likely easier to achieve their means another manner.. they could in theory pass that knowledge along.

Look at Miraak and his mantra, his talk of a waking dream. Pretty CHIM like if I can say. And yet, from seeking greater heights to prolonged meditation to even making deals for necromancy we hear none in regards to CHIM

You`d think that would be one thing Hermeaus Mora would know though right?

I very much doubt it. He's a Daedra.

Is it likely he knows things going on in other continents on Tamriel? Or is it plausible that they worship altogether different Daedra and Aedra not yet seen?

Mora knows what's happening across all known and unknown Universes. Not just the current one but all the past and future ones. But things like love and sacrifice, a Daedra can know about but never comprehend.
