I have an already setup install of Morrowind with rebirth and MGSO using the GOG Version. But just recently an update for MCP has been released with some very nice new features for example in game native widescreen support with out the need of MGE XE or Morrowind FPS Optimizer. So my question is can I update the version of MCP i have installed or will that break my install and force me to do a full clean reinstall which is gonna be a massive pain.I thought I should ask before I give myself several hours worth work, reinstalling and re configuring Morrowind.

From the readme inside the
Nexus MCP v2.2 download.

version 2.2
Upgrading
---------
If you're upgrading from MCP 2.0 or later, you may then extract the zip on top of the existing files. You need to run MCP to apply the new fixes and review new gameplay options. New default bugfixes will be automatically added to the list of selected patches. Just click "Install chosen patches" to update to the latest version.
After starting Morrowind, confirm MCP is updated to the latest version by checking the version number in the bottom left of the main menu.
The download from
Great House Fliggerty is listed as version 2.1 and has the same instructions for upgrading.
I haven't upgraded my MCP (v2.1) to v2.2 so I have no first hand knowledge of the upgrade being as simple as described in the readme.
Hope that helps.

FWIW, I have updated my MCP from v2.1 to v2.2: yes, it is as easy as described; played for about 3 hours today and didn't encounter any problems (yet).
