I completed the main companion questline to become Harbinger. I have also completed all three totem quests with Aela and have completed the Purity quest for Vilkas and subsequently married him. I want to complete Purity for Farkas (I like the thought of the brothers not being separated when they die), but Farkas' dialogue is limited to offering training and follower help. I can't even get Farkas to offer me a radiant quest even though he is included in the quest marker to ask companions for work. I did a number of radiant quests for Aela since then and one for Vilkas but Farkas is still being uncooperative.

I noticed after a few quests for Aela that Farkas will offer work if I am in the middle of a quest for her or Vilkas, but of course Farkas will not provide a quest while I'm in the middle of a quest for another companion, and when I complete the radiant quest for Aela or Vilkas, Farkas' dialogue option to offer work disappears again. I've tried a number of console commands, things like setstage CR13 1,10,100,200, getstage CR13 which don't seem to do anything, enable and disable on Farkas, even kill and resurrect on Farkas hoping it would refresh his dialogue to no avail. I also tried console commands to start radiant quests with Farkas which also don't seem to trigger anything. I also tried dropping a witch head in front of him which didn't help (I've been carrying all four with him). This is becoming very frustrating as I've been trying to complete every werewolf quest before trying the vampire lord route for Dawnguard and I'm told I won't be able to do Purity once I'm cured of lycanthropy. I've noticed codes for the dialogue options when I try console commands for help farkas, help cr13 but have no idea how to use that information. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, it seems you've used most of the glitch fixes, and those didn't work...

Alright, I'm going to go low-tech: see if he will have the quest if you talk to him when he's sleeping (I know it sounds silly, but I think it worked for Evil-i).

Other than that, you might try becoming a vampire lord, then talking to Aela to re-become a Werewolf, then talking to Farkas to try to get Purity (It's probably a long shot, but at this point we've used up the more conventional methods).

I appreciate your reply. I know this questline is notorious for its problems so I didn't expect to find a fix after all this time let alone a response. I tried talk to Farkas while he was sleeping, it didn't work. I haven't attempted the vampire lord/werewolf reboot though, I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

So I expected to find no resolution to this extremely glitchy questline but I'm replying with a very immediate update. I did not try the vampire lord reboot attempt but I continued playing the game and exploring in general. I went back to my main home in Breezehome and spoke to Vilkas, my husband, who offered me the Dragon Seekers questline. After completing that quest, I went to Jorrvaskr and Farkas is offering me work for the first time in a long time. My assumption is that I let a significant amount of time pass, maybe a month, in game without requesting a quest from the Companions, enough time for Vilkas to offer me Dragon Seekers instead of a radiant quest, and that when I completed that quest it refreshed Farkas' own questlines somehow. Now Farkas hasn't offered his Purity quest yet but I don't see why he wouldn't now that he's officially offering work again. I'll let you guys know later if he does.

And Farkas has been cured.

Good news: MeowMix has cured Farkas.
Bad news: I now have to go break Farkas on my save, so that I can see if the Vampire Lord/Werewolf reboot works or not.
