Like Jarl Black-Briar or an assassinated Emperor Mede

Keepers will be kept around.

Dragons. And yelling. That happened.

Maybe I should be more specific in my wording; I mean events/occurrences in Skyrim that will without a doubt be mentioned in TES VI -- of course dragons and shouting will be mentioned in a book or in passing by an NPC.

how the civil war outcome effected the Thalmor's position in Skyrim and whether it had a knock on effect in Tamreil

there's too many directions they could take, so saying something will definitely be fact is difficult. about the only thing I'd say is sure is that dragons reappeared, and someone used shouts to save the world. Also, the Blades had been in hiding, but have now reappeared. Unless they go back to hiding, but at any rate, they came out of hiding at least for a while.

And I shall be more elaborate in my response. The position of Keeper was instituted by the Dark Brotherhood as an emergency measure, a one-off.
Perhaps in honor and memory of Cicero's efforts to protect the Night Mother, the practicality of having an agent dedicated to the internal security of the Brotherhood, or simply because we're crazy enough to dig the outfit— they'll still have a Keeper around in the next installment.
Their mandate (and dress code) may be relaxed a bit (it is rather maddening to join an assassins' guild, then end up in a role where your sole duty is to
protect someone) and the Keeper ends up as the
de facto "fifth" Silencer of the Black Hand, answerable to the Listener alone. If you need someone to exact a Purification (let's face it: sacking a Sanctuary has become a thing nowadays) the Keeper is the assassin that other assassins will fear.
The Brotherhood will endure a reactionary backlash to Astrid's tenure and try to pick up the old apparata of the Black Hand and the Tenets, the spiritual aspect of the Brotherhood asserting itself more strenuously than what was seen previously in other games.

I was wondering if you had meant Keeper as in the keepers of the Soul Cairn, but yea I think Cicero's position may pop up again if the night mother appears in person again (as a corpse). I really hope there's an option to save/protect your dark family in TES VI as opposed to ALWAYS having to kill them off (since Oblivion).

I hope there's a way to reverse or prevent that from happening in TES VI, like a choice between killing everyone or rooting out the spy.

The main events of Skyrim will be canon although the Civil War will be interesting due to it having two endings instead one.
The guild events will be canon but it is up to everyone to decide if it was the Dovahkiin that did it or Bob the cabbage Farmer.
DLC events are cannon.
Side quests are sidequests and a few may be referenced.
As for the dragons, i doubt Bethesda intends to have them in TES VI due to it being Skyrim's main feature and they do not like bringing in features from previous games.

The assassination of Emperor Titus Mede II is almost certainly gong to be canon, because that's a pretty significant event just to leave out.

The renaissance of the Thieves Guild in Skyrim is safe territory,

That he died will be canon. That he was assassinated, maybe. That he was necessarily assassinated in the way we see in the game, no, because that would contradict player choice. No one will ever get "their way".

Yea it will be talked about by NPCs and the TES VI rumor mill will suggest that Mede is dead, but it is unknown whether it was murder or natural causes. I really hope TES VI involves inducting a new Emperor (maybe a female) and the recreation of the Amulet of Kings, which should be main-quest tied so as to avoid canon/head-canon choice conflicts.

the mages college found the staff of magnus, and the Psijic Order or whatever they were called showed up. I think they will be mentioned in the next game, as well as the Synod, but how that transpires, I couldn't say.

Know what would really throw us all for a loop? If TES 6 took place before Skyrim, and after Oblivion.

Dragons have a staying place now. They will likely be incredibly rare encounters, but they are too significant to simply say that the Last Dragonborn eradicated all of them. The Thu'um may even still be a power the player can learn (perhaps a racial bonus for Nords to unlock), but there won't be any soul absorbing.

I sincerely doubt it, unless each and every player-generated Nord's backstory has them training with the Greybeards (ala Ulfric Stormcloak) to master the way of the Voice, otherwise it will most likely be relegated to the Dragonborn.
As for the dragons; lore & geographic-wise I can't see them simply remaining to Skyrim/Solstheim when there is a whole world out there to explore, so perhaps we'll encounter at least one or two dragons in TES VI that at least have a significant role to the story (crossing fingers for TES VI: Akavir).

One need not be Dragonborn to be a Tongue.

I don't think you'll be able to use the shouts in the next game. Unless they make the next game Skyrim 2, that is. I see it as part of Skyrim, not as something that will cross over to the rest of the series. It makes Skyrim it's own individual game, and the next one will have it's own unique something. I could be wrong, but that is my feeling.

No, I doubt anything as extensive as Skyrim's feature will show up - players won't be discovering word walls or absorbing dragon souls. But I do somewhat expect the way of the voice to be something that carries on in future installments as something along the lines of a greater power unique to Nords, unlocked at higher levels.

it might be cool to choose dragonborn as your birthsign/background trait in character generation, and be able to fus ro once per day
i think we might meet or hear about a NPC who can shout, skyrim had a sigil stone after all

I'd much rather see new Powers that relate to the Province we're currently in during TES VI, like the Redguards' Sword Singing or the Khajiit's lunar-derived powers. If you're some type of avatar or mythical hero, there would be no racial requirement for the player to use these abilities. That would be more honest and rankly fresh than rehashing Dragon Shouting in the next game for no good reason.

I wholly agree with this. Dragon shouts are fun - in Skyrim. But I don't really believe they would fit in a game set in, say, Hammerfell. A new power would be more exciting (provided it's actually as useful as Thu'um) than a recycled old one.

If the player's character isn't from Skyrim, they wouldn't be able to go to the Greybeards to learn about the Voice, so their shouts would be rudimentary at best. They could include it for Nords as a daily power, but they could just as easily not. So it won't be fact/canon in TES VI until Bethesda says so. I would venture to say, however, that it will be mentioned. If you create a Nord character, NPC's will probably ask you if you can shout, like they heard about Ulfric and the Dragonborn doing. It could even get to the point that it's as common as taking arrows in the knee.
