Old Guard is an RvR guild eager to play Elder Scrolls Online on the EU megaserver and eventually Camelot Unchained. As a group, we are an older group of gamers, a mix of Americans and European players, with most of us having families and full time jobs, but we still enjoy bashing virtual heads and outmaneuvering zergs on the battlefield.

We range from Casual to Hardcore depending on our available playtimes and have played in past RvR centric mmo’s such as DAoC, Warhammer, and GW2. We plan on playing in the Daggerfall Alliance on the European megaserver and we’re looking to recruit players from parts of the world in an effort to have better coverage for RvR fights throughout the day.

As for our limited requirements, we don’t allow multiple guild membership. While it can be a nice feature in mmo’s, it tends to fracture guilds and removes the feeling of belonging to a particular group of players. In addition, Old Guard requires voicechat for members. Special consideration can be made for special circumstances, but overall a microphone or headset is required to be a member (use is only required for RvR).

Overall, we’re looking for players eager to build a legend of their own, both individually and as a guild. We host regular weekly events in order to both have fun, but also to better learn how to play the game. Furthermore, we have specialized groups in charge of certain activities during RvR (scouting, setting up siege, ruthless ambushing, etc). After playing the beta I got eager to if possible settle the guild issue before the launch. Searching around I found this post the most interesting.

You guys sound very alike me/us. We are a small group of oldies that got to know eachother through the glory days of DaoC where we ran a successful tight guild called Meiva (Guinevere/US servers). Some actually still play it! Through the years us euros have followed each other into other similiar online games. Sadly as years go by, we are less.

The idea of trying to reincarnate the guild in every game is becoming less appealing as there are only a few of us keeping close toutch. And nearing your 40s, the mature guilds... like really mature guilds you are looking for are hard to find. You seem like a insteresting lot cosidering you have the same background as us. There are four (maybe more, who knows!) of us euros that are planning on giving ESO a shot, which we really think could be the best game since DaoC. Would be great to share it with like minded people.

We did plan on the Aldmeri Dominion though as the four of us have mostly tried out stealth classes in recent games. But that's up for discussion if we want to look at the bigger picture and actually be in a good guild rather than the few of us running around doing mischief.

Wow you lot sound like a great group and I am sure your experience would be a great asset to any guild!!

I will do my best here to try and convince you that our union would benefit both of us .

Yes we are a mature guild. We have some sensible leaders who focus is on quality over quantity and slow and steady growth... yeah they are cliches, but proven cliches. We want people to want to log into TS and say "Hi" to some friends. That takes time and demands some selectivity.

With regards to the Alliance, I would urge you to think Redguard or Brenton for Nightblade. Depending on whether you want damage (Redguard) or mischief (Brenton) I would think you could make a very formidable Nightblade. I know my first alt will be a Redguard Assassination Nightblade. In addition according to ESO own surveys there will be more healers in DC than any other alliance... just saying .

Recruiting is going well as Old Guard continues to look for mature quality players for Daggerfall Covenant on the EU megaserver. Recently I saw this article and all I can say is having a great guild at your back in this game should be a paramount issue for any serious RvRer.
