Which moments in Skyrim gave you goosebumps?

I saw a similar topic at the Oblivion forums and thought it could be a good idea to have the same discussion here. If this topic already exists, I'm sorry, but I didn't find anything on my search. :mrgreen:
So, which moments gave you goosebumps while playing Skyrim? Mine were:
1) The first time I saw Sovngarde. That purple sky was just beautiful;
2) My first visit at the shrine of Azura;
3) Reading the Elder Scroll at the Throat of the World and "travelling back in time";
4) The first time I rode a dragon at some Dragonborn quest I can't recall the name.

Goosebumps or scared the crap out of me? Landing in Skuldalfin was pretty hairy.
Sovngarde, awesome, looks like Yosemite to me. Better go there if you can. (Yosemite)
Anyplace I need to go it alone, gives me the shivers.

Both things. :D
For me, one of the scariest moments was my first encounter with a seeker in Apocrypha.

I got startled when I was doing the quest "Discerning the transmundane" and I was about to leave the ice cave or w/e and Hermaeus Mora is in your way before you leave. That guy is gross.

Hearing the intro song gives me goosebumps... I feel the need to stand up and shout "Skyrim belongs to the Nords!"

Several on my first playthrough:

The first time I fought Mirmulnir. It was a genuinely hard fight, since I hadn't developed any dragon-fighting tactics yet. Besides, it was night and the blazing fires around the tower made the sequence even more dramatic. Plus the music, of course.

The first time I saw Solitude. I was trudging through the Hjaalmarch swamp. Dawn broke, and I happened to look up. Against the rosy, clear sky loomed Solitude's arch in the distance. It looked very majestic and almost surreal.

The fight at Karthspire. A bunch of Forsworn was bad enough, but then a dragon joined the fray, too. I was taken totally by surprise.

Sovngarde. The dream-like sky, the ominous mist, souls wandering around and Alduin's distant roars made it both creepy and glorious at the same time.

Then, there are things that still affect me the same way as at the first time. Entering Aventus Aretino's house is still spooky as ever. And the vision at the Throat of the World when you read the Elder Scroll is awesome every time. Bethesda wrote and staged that part excellently.

Agreed, Nord85. I was also very impressed by the dark beauty of Solitude - and the song that played when I first entered the city.

The sounds of the carriage at the games intro... I remember my first time playing. :P

During "Chasing Echoes" when you're turning a corner and a gargoyle bursts out of the wall. Jumpy jump jump!

Nords that were turning into werewolves and glitched in the middle of process and left them mutated half human half wolves with stretched out arms and necks and deformed chests

My first time playing when I exit the cave out of Helgen, and am free to do whatever I want. Plus the new world to explore, and am blind/don't know anything whatsoever.

and the assault on Whiterun. amazing maily the catapult b

Entering Blackreach for the first time. I hadn't known what to expect, and what I found was awe-inspiring.

Of course, I also spent the entirety of that first trip in sneak mode.

My very first encounter with Hagravens in Orphan Rock, as part of the "Blessings of Nature" quest. My character was still a low level and died many times trying to retrieve the Nettlebane.

Actually Hagravens in general freak me out. They're gross.

Wolf Skull Cave is a bit eerie too.

Man honestly listening to Aventus Aretino's doing the Black Sacrament was very creepy and sad.
Blood on the ice gave me goosebumps, I think the whole of Windhelm gives me goosebumps, just a sad terrorized town with sad terrorized people...I generally stay away from it if I can.

I have the same opinion about Windhelm. So sad and dark, almost a Gotham City of Skyrim.

I think Riften is more deserving of that comparison. :P

In my first play, i had on purpose avoided the Dark Brotherhood quest. When i suddenly, after +/- 220 hours, walked in to the Aretino Residence. Thinking "Hmm i don't really remember this place. Right before I turn around and see small boy stabbing a corps on ground while starting his creepy prayer to Sithis.
Thats was the best goosebumps i have ever gotten i Skyrim. It might be because I had forgotten if i had done the Dark Brotherhood quest or not.. It was totally unexpected for me at the moment, and that what made it such and got goosebumps/creepytrip.

First time I met Arvel the Swift and had to chase him all over Bleak Falls Barrow. And by all over I mean all over the wall at the spike trap, which was where he decided to stop running and mount a defense.

Witchery, why do you think Riften is more deserving of being the "Gotham City of Skyrim?" :mrgreen:
Another creepy moment: during the Whispers in the Dark quest, when you have to hide inside Night Mother's coffin. That was a nightmare.
