Strange character/critter movement/animations

Hey guys & gals ...
I haven't played Skyrim in almost a year after doing a completionist, ~250 hour playthrough last winter
Now that I have a lot of PC to play with (5Ghz octocore, two R9 280Xs w/ total of 6GB VRAM, SSDs in RAID0) I reinstalled (Steam) Skyrim and threw a bunch of graphical mods at it. None of the mods alter animations or characters, just things like Skyrim HD, Climates of Tamriel, Flora, etc (and it's so beautiful!!
)
Unfortunately (and perhaps it was always like this and I don't remember it this way) critter movement and voice to lip synching seems to be off. When characters speak their lips seem to move a bit before they should to the voices. During battles in the Helgen keep animations/movements were glitched - a couple spiders were walking on the air (didn't drop down all the way before advancing) and the Imperials (I followed Ralof) would seem to teleport a foot or two closer to the Stormcloaks when they went to swing weapons
Is this normal Skyrim behavior? Problems with running AMD Crossfire? Tips? The hardware passes extreme stress tests so it's not overclocking instability and I play BF4 on ultra with zero issues (uses 40% of my GPUs, as does Skyrim now)
Thanks for any input!
