The Molag Bal Game XVII
Life near the shores of the Iliac Bay has always been a difficult existence. Breton, Orcish, and Redguard forces have constantly clashed with each other for supremacy over the region. While the internal powers have many a times fought with their rivals, enemies from outside of the Iliac Bay with greedy eyes and mighty armies have also made their mark on the region. Nations have been conquered, races have been displaced, and countless lives have met their end here. Despite all of this, there remains a general sense of optimism for the populace, and prosperity has come to many who have tried to gain it. The people of the Iliac Bay have suffered countless assaults on their lives, but they refuse to be broken. Yet.
In the Iliac Bay is a series of islands collectively called the "Isle of Balfiera". These islands have the unique history of bearing the oldest structure in existence, the Adamantine Tower, and more recently for being a peaceful place for negotiations between various local powers.
Here, in the very area that has built a reputation for providing peaceful concord will Molag Bal, the Harvester of Souls, play his game. This Almighty Dominator has marked the peaceful village of Uthenni as deserving nothing but absolute strife and devastation. And with his target chosen, the cultists moved in...
Hello and welcome to the seventeenth Molag Bal Game! The game is simple: There are two factions inside of the village, the villagers and the cultists. The cultists are trying to kill all of the townsfolk until they can take them on by force, and the villagers are trying to determine who they are and eliminate them before it is too late. However, the villagers are unsure of the identity of their enemies, and will be hunted down one by one if they can't determine who they are.

The rules are as follows:
  • Villagers win if all the cultists are eliminated.
  • Cultists win if there are an equal number of villagers and cultists.
  • Some players will have additional roles, allowing them to make special actions or gives them certain powers if the correct conditions are met. Players should not reveal their role, unless activation specifically requires them to do so. Roles will also be revealed upon character death.
There are two phases to each round of the game, day and night.

During the day:
    • All players may chat, in character, with each other about their suspicions.
    • Players can say whatever they like as long as it is in character and is not in violation of other rules.
    • After the accusations, all players must vote on someone to lynch in an attempt to weed out any worshipers.
    • Votes may be changed until someone is lynched; the lynching occurs either when all players have voted or when it has been 48 hours since the 1st player cast their vote, whichever comes first.
    • The day ends after the lynching.
    During the nighttime:
    • Certain players can take special actions. Primarily, the cultists will choose what to do during this phase.
    • night ends when the necessary actions have been taken, or when it has been 48 hours.
The first phase will be day, giving players a chance to act before having to confront the worshipers. To keep the game going, stay on top of votes and special actions you are allowed.

Angered by this, his clan tried to kill him, so he grabbed the khajiit woman, and ran and ran and ran until they were in Rorikstead, it was at this time the Khajiit thanked him and told him of a small town called Uthenni, that it would be a safe place, and he's lived there ever since.

How many characters/players are we gunning for?

When picking someone whom u think is a worshipper, what reasons are we supposed to go by? Or do we just pick willy nilly?

You pick based on who your character would pick if they found themselves in that situation. Everyone has different reasons. Maybe one person thinks another is acting suspiciously. Maybe you think someone is putting on an act. You just kind of go with your gut most of the time.

More than we currently.

That.

Read older MBGs to get an idea of how its done.

Debating joining this one, but as my only name idea is the name of a 3 headed dog/British sports car made by TreVoR...

I read a couple last week to get a feel for it but was just checking to see if there was more to it.
Looks fine.

That's all cool. Looks like the timing will be perfect for me anyway, so I have absolutely no problem when we start. I'm expecting big things now though :P

That's good, as the game can't start yet anyhow. We're still below my absolute minimum threshold for preferred number of players.

I also added all current applicants as accepted. If you haven't signed up yet, consider doing so!
