Hi,

I've not got a great laptop but it plays fine in most of Morrowind but on Solsteim it slows badly. I'm fairly sure this is mostly due to the real time shadows and I've got these turned off in the game menu but they are still there! I've looked through MGEXE options and can't find a solution.

Deselecting the Dynamic solar shadows check box doesn't do what you want done?

I'll have another look. I have stared at the options several times and I can't say that I've noticed that option. But it may be some kind of 'option blindness'. Thanks for the help.

Okay, I'm having the same problem, not finding how to turn off the shadows.
It seems you posted a handy screenshot but it's not there now.

But if I could at least be pointed in the right direction (like what tab is it under?) I might be able to spot it.

I'm using MGE XE v0.9.

Ahah, answered my own question.

It is in the Distant Lands tab, not sure what it's doing there but thanks for letting me know what exactly the option was called!

That's odd, I can still see it.

Where is the screenshot hosted? Maybe I've got something blocked...
