Mod for hood > helmet

Hey everyone,

I am planning to play a spellsword. Even in Oblivion I actually never used a combination of armour and a regular weapons + magic, and it seems fun to me. There is something I am wondering about though. I would prefer my character to wear hoods instead of a helmet, but I would still like to benefit from certain perks (custom fit/matching set). Is there a mod which allows you to wear both a helmet and a hood simultaneously, while only the hood shows?

Or... is it possible to hit the armour cap wearing boots/armour/gloves or coming somewhat close to it (I will most likely be wearing glass armour) without exploiting the enchanting loop thingy? If you know about a nice light armour mod, please tell me!

Thanks in advance :) ,
Blackbird

I'm almost certain there's a mod on Steam which adds hoods with matching set perks, don't know about nexus.

I'm playing with SkyRe, Immersive Armors and Cloaks and Hoods of Skyrim, and with this combination it's possible to wear Dragon Priest masks with helmets (ot at least with padded fur hoods). I haven't tried it with mage hoods though and unfortunately I can't tell you which of these mods make it possible exactly.

I'm pretty sure it's Immersive Armors (though I haven't tried with other hoods either). The armored hoods work with dragon priest masks and circlets.

@Blackbird: IA is the mod I'd recommend, to give you armored hoods with a slot still open. The downside is it's not light, but the installation is still simple, and it shouldn't cause much performance trouble, if any.

Thanks for pointing out the IA mod to me! I really like it, and it offers me plenty of nice options to start building my Spellsword  .
