So in essence you're asking whether the Intel or AMD processor is better, since those are the only differences in the build.

The Intel is better. Faster and uses less power. Here's a comparison of the two: http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/142/AM ... -4130.html

There's also a different motherboard.
That benchmarking site doesn't do real world tests, just benchmarking programs. (If you click on the Benchmarks tab you can see that they didn't use any games, which perform differently)
I'm wondering if the performance of the i3 is worth for the extra money- or if someone else can come up with a better ITX build for a similar price.

The motherboard is different because of the different sockets on each processor. ;)

Edit: Graphics cards make more of a difference in game performance than CPUs, and since you have the same graphics card for each build you probably won't see much difference in the way the rigs perform while playing games.

The FM2 one has a few extra features, though I probably won't be using them.
Do you have any suggestions for parts I should change?

I would take my typical view and claim, differences aren't that big between Intel and AMD, in common use. Commonly, the more you pay, the more you get - it's more an issue of where you buy, and in that aspect I strongly recommend to buy from a smaller shop, a local one, because that way you can assure good service in future.

And, whatever you buy, it'll be replaced in a year or two. That's the pace.
