This two-in-one blade is supposed to add up the lives it took, up to twelve, to change into Superior weapon(s) the next dawn of dusk it appears. I can't figure it out: sometimes it kills and the life does NOT count and sometimes it does. I feel cheated when I kill, kill, and kill a third time, and nothing ads up. The Dawn Superior is useful; in a big fight I hardly loose health. Swallows lots of soulpts-a-strike, though. As for the rest of the performance: my Goldbrand is a more deadly blade, my Sigil-enchanted deadric longblades are too. But that's not the point. Why does not every life count?

I thought about that too, but that's not the case. The same creatures in a row, like Nights of Order, or creatures made to defend stronger characters; sometimes yes, sometimes no. I even thought it might have something to do with first a hit with another weapon like Umbra to catch their soul and finish the job with dusk of dawn, but that is not the case eather. Sometimes I get their soul AND it's adding up, sometimes I get just the soul. This lookes like a bug, but before I end up yelling BUG FOUND (eh, second one), I want to be sure I don't overlook something stupid like rules to catch an addup. :D

Are you sure the sword's still got soul points when you kill the victim? The kills will only count as long as the blade can cast the spell when the blow hit.

Yes, very sure! That's not it either.
